  • The Only way to cleanse your sn inthe Blood of the Lamb, the Very Blood of GOD

    Acts 20:28

how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? After it was at the first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard, Hebrews 2:3

See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape who turn away from Him who warns from heaven. Hebrews 12:25

  • I don't normally like these kind of vocals, but for some reason, this works for me.

  • Love this song... the first i heard from November's Doom.. and fell in love... especially the first riffs.. fuck yeah!!

  • I dont know if its just me but the singer of this band sounds alot like amon amarths...

  • HELL YES.

  • First 20 or so seconds sound just like the beginning of /watch?v=VG3qpenS3Vk

  • @tjfats2 Interesting, never would've thought of that one! Ours came first at least....

  • wow. ive just discovered this band. awesome.

  • @adarchiashvili I'm not interested in getting into theological debates with you. This is not the place for it. I respect each person's religious/spiritual choices they make even if they differ from my own, whether it's a fan, friend, or bandmate. Going around quoting verses to me or anyone else isn't likely to change anyone's minds, & honestly it's when people get so forceful & extreme about such things that others usually stop listening or taking you seriously. Enjoy your weekend, see ya

  • @adarchiashvili It's the way you're interpreting it, and you're entitled to do that however you please. I have no interest in getting into an arguement with you over this, I stated what I needed to before and stand by it. Have you heard our latest cd? Do you find the lyrics on that cd questionable? Give it a try sometime. And yes I am who I say I am, there's even a video on my channel now of myself. Do I have to make a video of me saying, "Yes Im really him"?? This is getting ridiculous

  • Oh how it angers me when ignorant humans label us metalheads "satan worshippers"!

You ignorant Christians (only to Christians who are ignorant) if you seriously believe that all metal is "evil" then listen to Onward to Olympas and get your heads out of our asses!

  • Singing songs about lack of faith and questioning certain things doesn't make one "Satanic". If a lack of faith or belief in Christ makes you a Satanist then that'd make everyone who isn't a Christian a Satanist, and that's just ridiculous. We've never sung songs about Satan or expressed any belief in that, and never will. Hope that clears it up for you, adarchiashvili. - Larry, Novembers Doom.

  • @adarchiashvili lol everything to you christians seems satanic.

  • @adarchiashvili Is that what you think they're singing about?

  • This album was my entry point to this band and I wouldn't have thought of them as doom metal. Maybe progressive death metal or something...

  • @adarchiashvili i mean that... lol fail.

  • @adarchiashvili how is this satanic?

  • just amazing :)

  • Niiiceee, these guys sound good!!!

Can anyone tell me what genere are they playing?

i'm going to check some more videos meanwhile :)

  • @dani1928 They have been described as Death metal, Death/Doom, and I'm sure some people might call them Gothic/black metal, but that isn't an accurate analysis.

  • @adarchiashvili nooo thats deicide. They're very satanic.

  • Love the vocals! just recently discovered these guys. Awesome!!!

  • That's so fucking epic. The vocals remind me a bit of Amon Amarth, amazing, amazing...

  • omg...I just discovered this band...and its sooo fucking awesome

    \mXm/

  • I usually don't listen to music this heavy but these Guys sound fuckin GREAT!!!! I got turned on by their song "Autumn Reflection".

  • wath the real ND post here ?!

  • EPIC AS FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @snakesuicide

didnt knew fuck was epic :P

good song but nothing match's October Tide in my opinion.

  • lol i don't listen to black or doom metal anymore, but i like your music a lot.

  • Wow this shit sucks.

I hope you get gangraped by elephants.

  • Damn this guy sounds just like Dan Swano

  • the beginning gets to me everytime.. ! it just so brutal :)

  • and btw this rules

  • hello just wanted to do the only small coment :)

  • Check out some of their older stuff, too man. It's a bit more Doomy than this album. As has been said, this song is not in any way representative of all they've ever done. Check out the album "Of Sculptured Ivy and Stone Flowers" for a bit more of that Doom sound you're looking for. Also, if that really is a member of the band posting on this video: Thanks for the awesome music, man. Keep it up. You've given me hours of great material to sit and enjoy. Thanks again!

  • If you were talking to me, thanks dude. I'll definitely be sure to check it out dude!

  • You're welcome!

  • Thanks man, and yes it's "really" me, funny how alot of people on here seem to not want to believe that. We're just normal people who happen to play music, we definitely don't think we're above chatting with people online and such. Come visit us @ our official forum sometime, all of us in the band post there regularly. Thanks for the support!

  • That's awesome! A band for the people. Excellent. And I might just pop in over there, and see what's happening. Thanks for responding.

  • Ok, im confused... Haha

Would you answer my comment? I always wanted to be special... ;P

    AWESOME BAND!

  • Haha, alright wise guy! Thanks for the support.

  • Wow, thanks, I'm blessed haha

    No problem ;)

  • @nvmbrsdoom5 Good stuff btw your choice in music is epic !!!! novembers doom kick ass no doubt here, there style/guitar playing is epic in all aspects of music!!!! classical and modern!!!! cant beat it unless it's PanterA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @nvmbrsdoom5 keep the good work man, one of the few american bands worth a listening

  • Comment removed

  • We've never wanted to be pigeonholed as just a "doom" band, we have alot of different influences and you really can't judge us by just one or two songs anyhow.

  • @nvmbrsdoom5

Sorry dude, I didn't mean to be judgmental. I hope that you didn't take that TOO offensively. For good news though, since I've posted that comment, I've listened to you guys a ton and I actually ended up buyin' all y'alls CDs!!! Y'all are amazin' musicians man...

  • Thanks, it's appreciated. Too many people (and bands as well) get too caught up in the whole genre-tag thing. We write stuff depending on how we're feeling at the time, so some stuff is death, some is doom, some is neither! Playing one style all of the time gets boring, especially as you get older, you just want to branch out a bit more....

As for the Amon Amarth thing- great band, but our similarities are pure coincidence. We share similar influences so I guess that's a factor.

  • Yeah, I know what ya mean 'bout writing all kinds of different music. I some times take my influences from Slayer, Metallica, etc. and write a real heavy song and other times I'll write a slower acoustic song and stuff. Well anyways, my ultra-boring rant is over.

    Cheers

  • vocals sound like johan from amon amarth! that's awesome!

  • Amon Amarth is awesome :P Saw them early this summer, was quite the experience :D

  • that is sick!! amon amarth is on my list of concerts to see!

  • this band is pretty awesome. i live about 20-30 minutes from Downer's Grove where (i hear) these guys started and my band is playing this song for a battle of the bands coming up

  • Don't compare Novembers Doom to Slipknot,please

  • @MirkoDaeva Well they do have something in common: kick ass music

  • this is fucking great music man. and this is the best growling ive heard ever

  • Hey, this is pretty good.

  • I'm just saying a lot of teenage girls use LOL.

  • And 95% of the people I talk to, male or female, use LOL. so I don't know what to tell you really.

  • Alright but man your in a Heavy Metal band and you use "LOL" strikes me as weird

  • That's one of the funniest things I've ever heard. If I said, "fo shizzle" or some ridiculous shit like that I guess I could understand your point. Didn't know "LOL" was breaking a Metal rule!

And at 36 years old, I don't really feel the need to show my "metal"-ness 24/7 either, y'know what I mean?

  • LOL. I like your band.

  • Well thanks!

  • hmmm....just me or I don't believe that guy is actually in the band.

  • LOL, and this again.....yes I'm in the band, look at my profile and you'll see. Not sure why it's so hard to believe....

I would hope that any pretenders out there would find someone a bit more interesting to pretend to be than me, haha. We're just normal people, y'know?

  • Sounds EXACTLY like Amon Amarth, even a bit melodic at 0:28. Great band, though.

  • LOL, I knew it was inevitable once Amon Amarth got popular we'd start to hear this. I do agree we sound similar at times, however we've sounded like this for YEARS now, before I even heard that band. It's just coincidence. There's definitely stuff we do that they would never, and vice versa, so it's all good.

  • Hey, I can't beliebe I just got a humble and honest reply for an actual band member. I just started listening your band, and IMO you're doing a GREAT job. You guys could easly add a litle touch of prog and even more of doom, to make your music even more interesting. Just saying. I'm just a metal fan \m/

  • Hey thanks for the words....not sure if you're familiar much with the rest of our back catalog but we do cover alot of ground musically, touches of prog and definitely doom throughout. "Rain" is one of our more straightforward, stripped-down tunes, and not really representative of everything we do. You can find quite a bit of our stuff here on Youtube, check it out and hopefully you'll see what I mean.

  • Similar.. Sort of. I like both bands, honestly. Amon Amarth is one of the main things that got me into death metal, especially melo-death, but I'd heard Autumn reflection years before then. Some similarities in the vocal style, but other than that, not really. Both are great bands.

  • great

  • The vocals kinda remind me of amon amarth xD dunno why

    Nice song :D

  • \m/ \m/

  • Ouh yeah, fucking song ^^

  • that is such a sick album cover

  • I can do an almost perfect vocal cover of this song. :D

  • Too bad you don't live where I do. You could sing for my band lol

  • Hah. I dont really know how good I would realy be though, Im not really a musician and ive never been in a band :/

  • * * * * *

  • favorite ND song

  • november rain lol(check it out it's awesome)

  • ...hmm... looks like i found a new band to listen too

  • fucking killer song, album and band reguardless of subgenre if you ask me. . .

  • this is awesome

  • I absolutely agree with their name, they absolutely caught the sound of november :)

  • damn, this band is deadly.

  • Amon Amarth?? Hmmm, yeah I can see a bit of similarity I guess but they're not an influence of ours, though I think they're a really good band regardless. We wanted to write something with an upbeat Candlemass or Sabbath "Symptom Of The Universe" vibe to it, with a death metal edge.

And we came up with the name back in 1991, WAY before metalcore or any of that was even thought of.

We've never just labelled ourselves as merely "Death/Doom", we try to encompass many different styles.

  • Actually Metalcore is older than 1991, your name precedes it's popularity. Converge are a Metalcore band (and one that actually doesn't suck) and they've been around since 1990.

  • Never really considered Coverge a metalcore band but I suppose that indeed is accurate. But in any case, my point was moreso directed towards all the band names prevalent in metalcore these days. Our name was conceived well before that trend began.

Furthermore, I don't think our name comes off in that way either. Napalm Death, Novembers Doom, Nocturnal Fear, etc. Just a typical old-school DM kind of name *shrug*

  • Oops, I meant "Converge" obviously.

  • Yeah, it's not really a typical metalcore kind of name, if it were I probably wouldn't have clicked onto your songs, (though that would've been wrong of me, don't judge a book by it's cover, etc). Anywho, I'll leave you be, now. [=

  • lmao it's true

  • Personally this and Lamb of God's break is my favorite. It's got that grand, bad ass quality.

  • Lamb of God's Break you*

  • amazing!

btw, does anyone here knows why the mp3 release of this album (the novella reservoir) is in such bad quality? the bitrate is ok and high, but the sound is so poor..

I'd buy the cd if I could, but no stores here sell it :(

the release group (the only one I could find in the internet) is "trve"..

    thx for the up

  • lol this indeed sounds A LOT like Amon Amarth.

Reminds me of "Free Will Sacrifice"

  • Amon Amarth and Novembers Doom Must do a CD together!!!

  • nah, they shouldnt.but a concert would rock :)

  • an extraordinary song !!!! long live november's doom !

  • AMAZING VOKAL ! \m/

  • very similar to Johan Hegg, from Amon Amarth. I like them better

  • Ypu can't compare Pagan metal to Doom, mate.

  • amon are melodeath.

  • well and what kind of melodeath?

    Right Vikingmetal!

  • melodeath has nothing to do with vikingmetal :) AA is melodeath with viking vocals, vikingmetal is like windir :)

  • You have made me smarter, thanks for that;)

  • theres no offshoots of melodeath you tool, you cant be an offshoot of an offshoot. it defies logic."vikingmetal" is just fucking folk with viking lyrics. grow up

  • I didn't ask shit to you, so shut your piehole.

  • cant take your bitch ass being told? too bad.

  • you amuse me:)

  • i agree with you vocals here sound like vocalist from Amon Amarth. wtf this song is not even death/doom this is just death metal and ND is normally death/doom band...

  • You guys kick hella ass! Been a fan since "Of sculptured ivy.." Seen you guys in PGH ages ago with Wickerman etc, killer show.. I still see Metal Mary every thursday or so at the Smiling Moose here in the 'burgh. You guys need to play here again..

  • Excellent band from the excellent Chicago scene.

Novembers Doom rises near the top of the Doom Metal genre right next to the masters of Doom Metal, My Dying Bride. if you like this you should definitely check out 'The Dreadful Hours' by My Dying Bride or anything by My Dying Bride.

  • Great doom band!

  • These guys are amazing !!!

I am sad cause I havent heard for them till today :(

  • same here and they are amazing

  • woah :O these guys are good!! cant wait till GMM this weekend to see them live :D

  • They owned the fucking Marquee 1 man!!

  • this is my favorite band of all time while i only discovered them back in july i dont care what anyone says they are the best and at least you can understand him

  • great song!

  • novembers death, not DOOM!!

  • There's still plenty of doom in our sound, people need to stop generalizing just because we have a few more "death metal" style songs than before.

Besides, part of my inspiration for writing this song was listening to the last Candlemass album!

  • You guys totally fucking rocked Graspop, although the crowd was lame.

  • They were more doom in their earlier releases but they still have doom influences. Novembers Doom are the classic example of death/doom.

  • Epic song!

  • buena musica hacen estos americanos
