  • KENNY IS THE ONE WITH THE GREEN SUIT HE IS MY FAVORITE SINGER HE'S FROM INTRO ALL THE WAY END!!!!

  • Classic, LOVE IT!!!

  • 3:07 Salt N Pepa

  • @diva88chic Haaaaaaay what's up sister,so You said that 3:07 was Salt N Pepper brings back so many memories. [;-)

  • hahah i remember seeing this live on the American Music Awards back in 94!!! El Debarge had enough of Tevin's outbursts and you can see him at the end move the mic from in front of Tevin.

  • I loved this song. This was our "class song". BUT I wished that El DeBarge would have done more singing by himself. He didn't sing but one little line!

  • They ate this yo.

  • i was looking at the debate below... and lol.. come on tevin campbell is undeniably the most vocally gifted out of this group.. his only weakness is he always overreaches, trying to emulate aretha/female runs. I mean he is technically flawless. He can belt to the fifth octave, his highest note is a soprano d6 and he is by all standards has a great tenor irrespective of genre. You might say Tevin's music never matured, but vocally he is one of the all time greats. Its as simple as that..

  • LOL @ Usher's part tho it was mad dope.

  • This is such a beautiful and uplifting song.

  • love it! rip Dino love u htown... rip kenny g and gerald levert.*AshleyMissDinoConner*

  • I feel Johnny Gill, Bobby Brown & Montell Jordan should of been included in this group!!

  • cant get enuff of dis performance.. <3 usher !! tevin!!

  • rare performance of BMU!! They should re-record this song again....

  • Stokley betta sing..

  • d'Angelo beast.

  • some serious RnB legends here...RIP Dino, Kenny, Gerald

  • @videomatt84 OMG! Kenny? Which one is he? I knew about Gerald and Dino...

  • Comment removed

  • Boy Do I miss Gerald Levert.....RIP

  • Brian owned them with one riff! lol

  • @LasaloEliaUK That gentleman is a good singer i tell you that. He's good. Rest of them are good but Mcknight has got to be the best singesr i ever heard. I want to hear more from this boy.

  • One of the most brilliant collaborations in a long time, not top mention how can you go wrong with a group of some of the finest looking and talented black men

  • OMG, their harmony is off the chain!

    They sound soooooo good.

All of that fineness on one stage at one time. I wish they could do it like this now!

  • "Black men united"...? Racist much?

  • @TheBrassHole yes BLack men united ASSHOLE

  • @TheBrassHole No asshole! It's my black people standing up for one another like we should, BLACK MEN UNITED!

  • @desire14899 FUCK YOU RACIST!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheBrassHole

    Don't be ridiculous!

    Slow much?

  • @longn4longhair Shut up racist.

  • @TheBrassHole

No problem, I already came to the conclusion that you're just not that bright.

I will NOT add to your ignorance... that's not what this upload was meant to provoke.

Something tells me you're no more than about 15yrs. old anyway...

  • @longn4longhair Ya ok, have fun being a racist...

  • Man, I'm just glad Chaleee85 posted this up!! I would have to flip my house upside down to find this video tape!! BY THE WAY, does ANYONE have the video of Luther singing "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" for the Roberta Flack tribute??? I can't remember if it's this same award show or not but again, I would have to flip my house upside down to find the videotape! Please post up if you have it.....PLEASE!!!!

  • i get goosebumps when i listen to this... bring bk 70's and 80's music. REAL MUSIC.

  • Now thats music!!! I'm tired of whats on the radio now a days!!

  • Tevin has the most pure and sweet voice of all Usher,El debarge, and Gerald Levert who ever you named Tevin can sing a note way better than all of them so he really needs to come back in the music business cause without him the music is just garbage and it's more violence.......... <3 Tevin

  • @CB37B I like Tevin Cambell a whole lot,but he can't fuck with El DeBarge vocally! El is a fantastic singer/songwriter,multi-instrumentalist on a level with Prince & Michael Jackson. El DeBarge wrote & did the vocal arrangements for Quincy Jones " Secret Garden". El wrote & produced 95% of The DeBarges songs,El can play bass, drums & is fantastic on organ, piano & synths

  • @mrinnervisionz lol true

  • @mrinnervisionz I will def have to disagree whole heartedly on that one, El Debarge is a great singer, he is no match for Tevin Campbell, not many up there are besides Dino, Joe, Brian Mcknight, Stokley.

  • @MsKevenConner We will just hav e 2 disagree then, because ain't no way Tevin Canpbell can touch El DeBarge in any facet of music! Joe can blow,he & El's voice are too diffrent. Brian McKnight might be the only 1, I would say is similiar to El,as far as singer/songwriter & musician. I love Mint Condition, but El DeBarge would tear Stokley up vocally and any other form of music. El DeBarge is up there with Prince & MJ!

  • @mrinnervisionz Maybe not in any facet except for singing, there are a lot of young men up there that have more control and strength then El. Prince? I would consider Prince more of an all around entertainer, but not one of the best vocalists. Maybe you don't understand what a natural vocalist is. I'm talking about someone who doesn't have to try hard to sound amazing. Dino, Joe, Brian Mcknight, Stokley, Gerald Levert, Tevin have vocal control, and strength.

  • @MsKevenConner El DeBarge has the gift of singing effortlessly,& with his 3 octave range,El is an awesome vocalist. B4 I end this discussion, El DeBarge can do something that all of those vocalist cannot match, not even Prince Or Michael Jackson is as good as El in this catagorey, El DeBarge is the absolute very best at over-dubbs & vamping out or through songs. Listen to El's songs with the group DeBarge & his solo stuff, you will hear exactly what I mean! In any case,we agree 2 disagree.

  • @mrinnervisionz Sure, I can agree to disagree, no problem. I will now allow you to enjoy the song without me rambling on about how great Tevin is. Nice talking to you. God Bless

  • Al B! Sure is finer now than when he did Secret Garden.

  • I'm surprisse Lil G didn't sing a part. That brother can throw down!!!

  • WOW! I LOVE THIS! So many singers i love! they r all so talented with beautiful voices! tevin, usher, joe, el de barge-so much of da best names in soul music! love it! *plus usher & tevin r so cute! * great song ever! =) <3

  • Tevin's voice rings so clear. It's really beautiful. I miss the days when people actually sang.

  • The studio version is better tbh, they're all trying to outdo each other with crazy high notes and it's just screechy.

  • this should be an inspiration to all brothers everywhere. stop killing each other before we as african-americans become an endangered species. We're making it easier for radical groups like the KKK and The Tea Party to get rid of us. Wake up black men, stop acting like boys and grow up to be the Kings you are destined to be!!!!

  • Is there a better copy of this on U Tube?

  • @KidDynamite40 What do you think America is? Thats why there is racism, because they dont want the USA to be one Culture. So we have to make our own groups. Early American Whites were racist against each other. Irish,Italians,Germans, Jewish all fought to establish their place here and were successful. Any race beyond that is not permitted to blend in. So it goes, if you are not white you are colored and treated as if you dont belong.

  • @KidDynamite40 Our culture has struggle and wutever else comes with the minority thang...thats why..so we can do that..i wouldnt have a problem if mexicans did it..cuz i kno they struggle too..lol

  • Are you saying that there are no white male only groups in America? You must be blind....totally blind.

  • @KidDynamite40 They do...it's secretly called the KKK, Skinheads, etc. Now all they need is a hit song, and place it on Youtube, but PLEASE don't hate on the African-American race for doing something positive! Peace.

  • @LilMama2312 LOL!

  • then they would be called the klan.....lmao

  • @thegooz74 LOL! This response is beyond hilarious!

  • if you watch the video you would see that this is a response to black men killing other black men. they are trying to promote unity within the african american culture.

  • @KidDynamite40 listen to the message. its not racist.

  • shit i do

  • What happend to good music like this

  • i know what happened, but the people don't want to hear the truth

  • Just listening to the soul of these voices, today the r&b voices of men don't have the same variety. Every voice that you hear on here is very different. Some have high voices some have that low soulful sound and some are in the middle. We don't really have the same options today. Most male r&b voices are high ranged with a lot of riffs and runs.

  • Like who? Doesn't all of today's artists just use autotune? haha.

  • Such a wonderful moment in time. Black Men United together singing a positive song with a positive message. All boys and men should here this song and go on with their journeys in life. Yes, You Will Know.

  • yo diz ismy song even tho its before my time i stil llk it and da message

  • 94 or 95

  • what year did this song came out plz

  • Tevin @ 2:36

  • @ThePowerCycle LOL! Never gets old.

  • all my favez on one stage !! love it !!!

  • lmao at El Debarge reaction when lil Tevin Campbell started singing @ 00:52. Rip's to Gerald, and Dino yall voices will be missed thanks for blessing us all with you talent.

  • what year was this video?

  • OMG!!!!!!! I think that the ol'skoo and new skoo artistsof today should cum together!!!!

  • Yeah, Tevin killed it

  • Joe, Stokley, & Usher sounded the best.

  • We need to have a talk!!

  • Okay??? lol

  • I use to say how good Stokley's voice was but then u use to tell me it was annoying but now u said he was the best................... LOL

  • @CKB1987 right here he did good..but it still is annoying..but here TEVIN is the most annoying.

  • Lord, LOL. Stokley got sum range on him tho

  • @CKB1987 Yes he does..him and Raphael Sadiq sound alike..

  • They do sound alike. Raphael didn't sound too good on here tho and I can tell him apart from Stokley is Stoke can take it to church more and he runs and switches notes at the speed of light that separates the two!!!!

  • But Raphael makes better music though..LMAO!!!

  • Comment removed

  • That may be true about the music, but Stokley just has the better voice it has more control, strength, and his technique is straight dope! He also can play instruments like the drums keyboard etc......

  • That was Raphael at 1:34! Stokley can do that too. lol

  • Comment removed

  • Raphael wasnt there, that was stokley. That is also why dwayne wiggins did raphael's verse in the begining of the song.

  • 0h okay..

  • @CKB1987 that was not Raphael that was his brother dwayne wiggins, on here.

  • @poppinthangs Yeah I know now, his bro and Stokley voices have similar voices but Stokley's just stronger.

  • OMG, I've been searching for this dang video forever!! THANK YOU!!

  • Man somebody please please please give my man Stokely the cred he deserves!!!

  • @TheBburkett No doubt, Stoke is so awesome, But groups such as Mint Condition and/ or Frankie B. & MAZE never get the credit they deserve. But do you ever notice that a great product continues to sell eventhough you dont see it on tv as much? That's the beauty of Great musicians and their art. They dont need all the TV hype because they ARE QUALITY and not some phase that comes and goes. Their music will forever be legendary.

  • Tevin Campbell owned all of them on this song

  • @Chuppachup69 look how he claps. He's a real fruitcup!! Good singer though.

  • love tevin

  • YOU WILL KNOW! I LOVE THIS SONG!

  • we need a remake of this song with current artists ;)

  • No way! lol it can be one of dem pleasure p's and omarion's...it gotta be john legend, maxwell..u noe....lol

  • @Prinay17 perfect plus we can still bring back lder artist like tevin, usher, joe...

  • U Are Right! But thing is..these older artists dont want to have anything to do with the industry cuz they know its SCREWED right now..tevin even said himself that the industry is screwed...So people are tryna do they're own thing (independant artists)..Marketing strategies right now are so weak u know what i mean!

  • CAN'T..thats what I meant to say!

  • uh no because these younger artists will royally fuck it up and try and have a soulja boy remix. they dont know the meaning of this song with the crap they idolize. this coming from a 25 year old

  • @BeastNZ I agree

  • @BeastNZ with who??? lil wayne? soulja boy? bow wow? 50 cent? TI? who sings about real shit nowadays? it would be nice if we could have someone try to send out a positive message to our Black men, but no one does that anymore. Firstly, there are no men nowadays who can sing like these guys and secondly nobody current is about promoting a good message. man, do i miss the early 90's

  • Usher is singing someone else's part entirely (RKelly), didnt see my baby Dino from HTown in here either.

  • @uniquesongstress It was so obvious that Usher was out of the loop....too bad R Kelly wasn't there to sing his part.

  • My favorite song ever.! Always will be, too!!!

  • gives me hope

  • There go Gerald Levert with all that yelling LOL R.I.P GL

  • Joe is the best singer in there he is amazing!!!! His control is excellent

  • I agree!! This is the first time I noticed Joe! He is so underated!!

  • thanks I love this soo much These Men Cans Sang ...The Song is soo Hopefull

  • i agree and about joe 2, i play this song to my son every now & again, a classic, thanx poster xx

  • amen love them and this song, thanks for posting.

  • That wasn't Raphael Wiggins (now Raphael Saadiq). That was actually his brother DeWayne Wiggins.

  • Three of the men in this video are now deceased. 1.Kenny the lead singer of Intro. 2. Gerald Levert. and 3.Dino lead singer of group H-Town

  • thats de angelo on the piano

  • El Debarge is killing it

  • This is fantastic!!!!!

  • Yes Chris does have parts, theyre at 2:03&2:08.He sounds magnificent!!Brothas&sistas are the best singers on the planet!I LOVE THIS SONG!!Makes me believe there'll be peace one day!

  • the good old days when singing was "sangin" not this "sing-rap" crap that's out now...

  • Im mad the mic was messed up on Joe's part. thats the hottest part of the song

  • why Tevin calling out Stokley !??!! LOL

  • I was wondering the same thing!! lol

  • TEVIN...damn. Check out El Debarge's face when Tevin bangs out that high note at 0:53...

he's like, "this kid is ridiculous"

  • wow.. tevin rockz... his voice is so powerfull even stokley can't keep it up with his voice

don't get me wrong, i'm a fan of all these guys and last year went to a concert of mint condition, but Tevin... he is one of a kind...

  • yea but stokley has a lot more control in his voice. and he is still rockin to this day and is 42 years old

  • i know stokley is very good, i went to his concert last year and it was of the hook...

you can check out Tevin singin nowadays, he will make a comeback later this year

  • Stokley's voice is simply an instrument! The undertones, riffs, scats, and vocal improvisations are just too hot handle!! That dude's live game is bananas, his passion and musicianship can be compared with the greats (e.g. Stevie Wonder, Prince, D'angelo, Maxwell, Al Green).

  • damm i wish joe sang r kelly's bit in da real version, joe is jus too much.

  • Christopher Williams looks great, i wish he song a part and i love Stokley from Mint Condition, that's a voice you can't match with no other. Thanks for the posting

  • thats dangelo playing the piano. he wrote the song.

  • they cant do this nowadays cuz very few of the young singers can sing look at all these present rb music legends

  • tevin is the best no( ?)

  • no he's not.

  • @nomercykid i agree he want to church.

  • @nomercykid yeah he waz but if d'angelo mic waz on he wouldve killed it

  • I remember watching this when it came on t.v. I have it on VCR tape somewhere. LOL @ Tevin and how El looked at him. RIP Kenny Greene, Gerald Levert and Dino from H-Town. I bought this soundtrack for this song and K-Ci's remake. I love this song. We need more collaborations and songs like this.

  • Love all of these black beautiful man singing together!

THEY need to get them all together and make some more songs like this!

    WE NEED IT!

AN Album or song WORTH BUYING! :)

  • they shoulda gave El another part too

  • I luv this song ,and all of them have great voices ,my favs are Tevin campbell and Gerald Levert, but I think they should have gave ''Dino'' from H-town a solo bc that man can BLOW!

  • Oh man thanks for posting this!!!!

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG. I wish more songs like this was made and lived by.

  • If only blacks could stay united permanently!
