Roush F150 vs S10

see you gotta add parts to keep up with lightnings on the streets but its cool though. lightnings are still the fastest stock trucks on the streets. the funny thing is chevy still has same old stuff. but ford has alot of amazing trucks and cars like the brand new 3.5 V6 twin turbo f-150 that runs 14.5 in a 1/4 mile, the ford taurus show with the same engine as the f-150 but it runs a 12.5 1/4 mile. an the ford gt 40 with over 750 under the hood an can spanks any car chevy has

@guerraernesto The SRT10 is the fastest production truck. And although its true most Dodge/Chevy trucks need mods to hang with Lightnings, there's a reason. The lightning was designed to race, nothing else. The SRT10 was designed to both race AND tow vipers to shows/tracks. Most Other Dodge/Chevy trucks are designed to tow/haul. And from my point of view Ford doesn't have decent trucks. Up until recently everything they built was underpowered.

@guerraernesto They had to slap a blower just to break 300hp on a v8. That's just sad in an of itself. Now the Lightning is a beast, I suppose the Nightmare is supposed to be the new lightning so I hope its decent. But other than those Ford doesn't really offer anything up. The 5.4L just isn't a good enough performance platform for *bang for your buck*. The harley ed's are soooo slow its sad, and the Roush trucks are slower still. Now if they had made the Raptor with a cummins motor.............

@guerraernesto @guerraernesto. I have to disagree with you on GM having the same old stuff. You can purchase a 4 door sierra denail that runs a 14.7 stock, haul 10,000lbs and get 13-16 mpg- add mild aftermarket goodies (headers, tune, cai) and your running mid 13's on a naturally aspriated do it all truck. While the SRT10 is a lil faster its still a waste in my opinion. It has a tow rating of 5000lbs and payload of 1000lbs, pretty week for a full size. The viper also has a avg 9mpg.

@guerraernesto Lightnings are nice, but its not hard to match with bolt-ons and a tune. I haven't seen any nightmare's nor have I looked into them so I can't really comment on that.

@letsgobassfishin Neither of these vehicles are mine, it was just a vid shot while I was at the track. Talked with the driver of the f150 in the lanes though, nothing special about his truck just intake and a tune. Not sure what the S10 had if anything.

Yeah its a Roush, the 2 of us actually spoke a little in the staging lanes since other then that s10 we were the only trucks there that day.

Its sad that a supercharged v8 with mods is running a high 14. Dont get me wrong I like the new F bodys I just wish Ford could produce a better performance motor for their trucks.

agreed... I think they need to bring back the lightning even though the have the saleen and roush they need a truck that is affordable and bad fucking ass... lol It would Prob be low 14s if it was stock height and street tires..IMO

yea they have all three stages of the roushchargers on it to... dpending what you want lol... my neighbor has a stage 3.. i wanna buy from him....
