i've just found this great artist diane bish playing one of the greatest pieces of music,at 80 ive found a new world . on youtube i can't go to any other music.keep playing diane bish you are just magic. another bish fan from sydney australia.
This is ponderous, stillted, hasn't been thought through - the tell tale was when she introduced the piece as being from Handel's "comic opera" Xerxes - ermm she should have done her research
I think i haven't ever seen her hands move so slowely and tenderly. Really intense interpretation. It's good to see and hear her play a slow piece once in a while :-)
Mrs. Bish performed a nice romantic piece for organ, but this has nothing to do with Handel! Which composer or organist of the Baroque would have used so many 8' stops???
Wonderful! I just noticed thisone. Thank you, Diane Bish for not only making my world more beautiful with your music, but educating me as well, especially about the organ. That 117Rank Ruffatti Organ is marvelous! You must really enjoy playing that great organ. Wish i had known about it while living in Florida! Brava, Diane!
Although it´s from comic opera I have heard this composition at funerals e.g.of my aunt
