Welcome to GNU/LINUX bro! I remember how excited the first time I booted up a dust collecting broken WINME machine thanks to the advice from Fravia (searchlores org) to try Ubuntu. Now I support the FSF org monthly with a sustaining membership and only use Free/Libre distros and software (e.g., gNewsense). Will never go back. Look forward to seeing what else your doing.

You are the model new Linux user because you were open minded enough to give Linux a try at zero cost, instead of paying a lot of money for repair or for a new system. I, on the other hand, have a reliable Windows 7 PC, but still do Linux half the time since it is fun to participate in Linux. Take care!

don't know if you've tried Mint Helena yet, but I have had a similar Linux experience as yourself. I also wrestled with the Linux/OSX/Windoze quandry, and ALMOST went with OSX, but couldnt justify spending £1500 for essentially a different OS. Love the look & feel of Mac, but just way too expensive, so I had to find another.

Went with (after trying ubuntu- varied versions), Mint 8 & lovin' every minute!! I know how proud of Mint I am, so I understand how you feel!!

You have a very good memory. When I first posted this video. It was just in Standard 640x480 and and cut down to around 2 minutes because I was emphasizing at the time my excitement. Now I've re-posted it and it's all un-cut. Except for showing it in Wide which I just cropped off the bottom portion of the frame.

I think computer companies should sell their products with a choice of what OS you want whether it be Linux or Windows.
