Just out of curiousity where did you get your information from? I got mine from Mike Taibbi from Rollingstone, Bill Black (S&L regulator), PBS, Mish, Congressman Alan Grayson, Ron Paul and more. Even if the banks gave this amount back they are going to need to pay a lot more for all the damage they caused + interest. There is no regulation, transparancy and they are currently taking risks with our tax $. That increase in Oct.09 was artificial and it was because of the TARP funds.
