  • Your Tutorials have dramatically helped me make better remakes and beats here on youtube! Im also an active user on your website!

  • /watch?v=Y_FTKvtR5t4

  • For those who dream of creating their own tracks (especially for electro) I recommend you to use fl studio. Do not give up after a few tries it seems complicated but it's pretty easy. I have used it for 2 months and I have no experience with programs like fl studio. It's pretty amazing what you are able to create even as a beginner. You can listen to my first song and than just try it: /watch?v=x2wIwS-LJJM&context=C3f2ff16ADOEgsToPDskLY_fAF0sZD65mSgUePa_6G

  • @E-Own...thanks...I got it

  • How do u copy and paste the beat patterns? That would save me so much Time!

  • @plueoo7 Select the instrument you want to copy by highlighting it green, then Ctrl+c, highlight the instrument you want to paste the pattern to green, then Ctrl+V

  • @EOwnTV lol oh I didn't know that worked for patterns! :D Thanx! I do that all the time for piano rolls!

  • @plueoo7 Didn't know either lol, saw your comment and I started to experiment, everybody wins!

  • Hey....How Did You Get The Sequencer.....Longer.....????? Great Work On The Tuto......lol

  • @DJeRoXXX Need to change the beats per bar. At the top of the sequencer where it says pattern 1 there's a lil green box to the left looking like"--" change it to 8 for two bars worth and so on...

    E-Own

  • watch?v=--CVya5Dtoo electronica i made in Fl studio

  • 2:35 how do i make that pop up?

  • @xJT94x

To make that screen pop up, click the buton that is located at the top right corner of the step sequencer window (the window we are looking at throughout this video). The buton you want is the one with the bars, not the one with piano keys.

  • BRUH I HAVE SAT AND WATCH LIKE 10 OF YOUR TUTORIALS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK YOU NEVER LET ME DOWN....

  • hey nfxbeats,

i was wondering where to go to download like sound packs and kits or whatever they're called- i have fl studio but i just now started using it again, and i only have what comes with the basic software.

  • @jameshalterman his webite @ warbeats.com

  • Really nice tutorial. A lot of people don't like a lot of talking and stuff in tutorials, but you learn so much more when you are talked through everything like in these tutorials.

  • Thank you so much for that hard-working tutorials. I tons aprecciate them!

  • in a ((((QUICK TUTORIAL))))) dont know about that otherwise gr8 tut

  • 'move it over a little bit, just like dat :3'

  • fantastic!

  • maybe upgrade to reason/record so you dont have to stack, FL mastering sucks

  • @selfinflcted09

    1. he has yet to master anything, there is nothing linked to the mixer

    2. reason is a mac-exclusive program

    3. recording costs time, appropriate equipment, and skill. using samples in a home studio is more efficient for drums.

  • @uninspiredml Reason is NOT mac exclusive by ANY means. i use reason 5/record1.5 bundle on my PC and it runs perfect.

FL mastering still sucks ass period. mixer or not. any major beat producer knows that if they use fl (South side/ Lex Lugar) you still gonna need it mastered professionaly in a REAL mastering program or in a studio with a good engineer.

  • @selfinflcted09 yes but when that's too expensive, Ozone is a great substitute =)

  • very nice!

  • do u just download this like for 100 bucks and thats it

  • really nice tutorial, it actually taught me something, but the only question i have is how u select all the notes and drag them to half notes at once, b/c when i select all notes and try to make them all half notes, it stops b/c a note is already at half. plz help if u understand what im tryin to say

  • @ACoxProductionz for example at 3:23

  • @ACoxProductionz I know what you are trying to do. I will check it out and get back to you. Regards

  • Download This programm Full Full version + book'' Fl studio Bible '' View my chanel ! And thump up if this helped you Thanks !

  • @LetsDanseNow or buy it and support the developers....the software is not expensive at all on the fls studio website

  • dude, if it wasn't for your tutorials, I'd be lost :P

  • kewl

  • Thanx Genius..

  • xDDD I was watching your vid and then all of a sudden a game ad pop up in my other window with warbeats and I thought it was your vid. I was like wtf? where is it coming from?? HAHAHA

  • @foxbeats no,and no one cares about ur age

  • @trigger575707

Velocity is basically how fast the note is "hit". Think of a piano -- the faster you hit the kick, the louder it will be. Hit the key slower, and the note will be softer. From what I see, most people use it to control individual note volume (in this video, notice that the snare beats with a (s)lower velocity are quieter/softer than the others at full velocity).

  • quick tutorial.... 6 minutes.... XD

  • @denix2006 compared to his others it's quick lmao

  • I like turtles.

  • thankx goo tutorial..but what is velocity? ive never used that before.

  • that beat was nasty! i never thought to use only one snare as a little extra hit. glad i watched

  • I missed you tutorial because i fell asleep

  • You. Are. My. Hero.

  • when is warbeats gonn abe back up ive been tryna register and it wont let me smh

  • Im eating noodles

  • @atalis1 what has noodles to do with this song :D?

  • @Robban259 I dont really know :D

  • @Robban259 Eatin ma noodles the new hit :)

  • @atalis1 and I like turtles

  • @Zharkan16 and i like noodles

  • @atalis1 I give.

  • Alternatively you could add density with reverb/delay on snares or just use a rim/hat/perc to make the ghostly notes

  • Thanks for the generosity bro. Definitely useful tuts you got goin on.

  • Tight

  • thank you man you made my life very eazy now...... lol

  • thank you!!!

  • man you are crazy:)very nice

  • Tnx Man, you'r the best!

  • what drum kit is this?

  • I have a question for Warbeats or anybody that can answer- I notice on the snare part where you have those ghost notes, you also have the volume lowered in spots where there is no snare hit. Is there any reason for that?

  • Thanks dude! keep posting more videos!

  • wtf

  • Nice Tuts nfxbeats, very generous of you to share the way you do. Many won't see what they can make of what you're giving but those really wanting to learn something basic musicaly could stretch this as far as they're willing to go.

  • You sound a lot like Delano Smith from Detroit.

  • u can hear a sound when u hold ctrl and click on a sound

  • you got nice tut's, but do you have a tutorial from "how can you make the sound from low to louder and louder?"

i try'ed some things but i dont know...

  • 4:22 the velocity lines tell how loud and you can turn it higher and lower

  • i cant think of anything else than making an automation clip, but you probably know that already?

  • yes i know this about 1-2 weaks :)

before i didnt know how, but i figured it out by myself

  • Big thanks!

  • Very useful ! Thanx

  • 1:06 ... the bottom row in the pattern sequencer... how do you do that?? is it a minimized pattern??

  • yes how did u do that?

  • Hey what button do you hit to use Ghost view in piano roll>?

  • ctrl + v

  • helpers>ghost channels

  • hey i need help how did you put the sequencer bigger mine has just 16 notes that i can use please help

  • On top of your channel panning you should have 2 dashes if you start fresh.

Hover your mouse over it, you should get a up/down arrow. Move the numbers up to change your sequencer size

  • on the top left of the sequencer, there are two minuses (- -), you can drag that up to increase the size of the sequencer ;-)

  • Look at the left upper at the sequence window. It says "--". Press that one and drag your mouse up, and now you can choose how long you want it to be.

  • in top left corner of sequencer u can find a small window that looks like [ - - ] ^_^

In this place u can chose "how many bars in u`r sequencer". Sorry, for my ugly eng) i hope u understood me)

  • Thank you all , shit many comments explaining

  • yea this guy is smart, i know shit loads about FL studio now, and this guy got me started years back

  • shut up.. at less he helping stfu

  • how did he pull up the velocity thing at 2:40? plz tell me !

  • man you're the best

  • I've been using this software for years and this guy has brought many things to life for me; his knowledge is quite thorough and even if you know this software in and out there are still some tips and tricks he conveys. Nfx you rock keep up the good work!

  • i only listen to this when im tired

    his voice is relxing :L

  • hehe hilarious

    5/5 for this comment

  • This guy knows how to do music!!

  • Thank you this will help alot

  • man! i love ur tuts! awesome :D

i was looking for this tuto :D it really works !!! thx

  • is there a drum beat making tutorial? like, music theory for drums?? because i can't make drums that go with my songs for the life of me haha

  • send me an .flp and ill make a drum pattern for ya :)

  • sounds good to me. haha i have one that i'm pretty proud of, but the drums are kind of embarrassing...where do you want i should send it?

  • That my be your style of making music. Keep doing what your doing, just as long as its sounds ok. eventually it will get better. Practice!!!!

  • GJ!!!

  • Hey, somewhere round 3:30 you sa "let me shrink this pattern so it fits into view."

But how? :p Because when I run FL,

It's always an 8 beat grid, which I like because I'm used to it. But sometimes accidentally I push '3' and it goes to I think 16 beats? how do I return it to 8?

button 2 makes 4 beats, and 3 makes 16, but how do I return to 8?

Just run FL again like always?

Nice video's by the way :)

  • Top right corner of the piano roll is a square. Just hold it with ur mouse and pull it, taht stretches the pattern :)

  • you mean "top left" :P

  • top right in newer versions

hes using a really old version of fl

  • Comment removed

  • LoL :D, it's my bad. I thought that we are talking about beats.. and not piano roll stretching :P

    Excuse me *blush*

  • i don't think there is anyway to go back other then deleting that pattern and go into a new one

  • in the top right corner, there is a box. If you click on the box and move your mouse up and down, you can adjust the size of your working area.

  • that snare hurts my face

  • goodstuff!!! thankx

  • how do you that on 3.23... like selected everthing to red color ???? i dont know how you do that? thanx by the way great tutorials!

  • mark them and drag them to left as he did.

  • THX MAN

  • WARBEATS DRUM ENCHANCER! 15$. it does the job in 5 seconds.

  • THANK YOU IS JUST WHAT I NEED

  • hey man i just got my fl studio 8, and i want to know how to get my sound!song a like how can i get that don't, i want to hear when di beat r on i can hear the both beats song as if there are the same. please help to do this i really want to be good at this. thank bro.

  • In the playlist, you have to open that in FL. Then you'll see al patterens then you can put them all in the playlist wherever you like

  • with these kind of questions youl never make it imao

  • how in gods name did this guy learn all this shit about fruity loops? what did he program the damn thing or someshit

  • spend a lot of time on beat making :p

  • The more you practice something, the more you understand and learn about it.

  • well. theres manuals and all that stuff from Image-Line... but experimenting is the best way to learn sometimes. Just trying some new FX out in ur mixer and tweakin some knobs might make a connection between ur ear and mind. and you'll come to understand it. worse comes to worse. google, or of course. youtube. haha.

  • Where can I download songs you've made?

If he doesn't reply, does anybody else know?

  • try probangers or hammersound or go on google and look up good soundfonts and go to warbeats

  • tyt

  • NEVER GETS TO THE FUCKING POINT !!!

    ahh.

  • he is explaining it slowly so ones could understand. there are people who see these videos who arent as advanced. and im not disrespecting you neither. he might have younger kids watching.

  • ty, ppl like me, 14 year old beat maker

  • nah i agree with dude, he does take forever.

  • well im learning so this is good

  • cool.......

  • i often use secondary kicks, cuz sometimes one kick sounds usual, but when u mix 2 or maybe 3 kicks at a time u might get an interesting sound.sometimes i do the same stuff with snares

  • do not.. mix snares with claps.. sounds horroble... (well not if a good selection of each of em)

  • not really, thats the only way i use em now..i use one particular snare and one particular clap and they sound pretty good together...the snare just kinda amplifies the clap.

  • Dam, I Don't know why i didn't think of this before... Good stuff Simple & straight forward

  • wow man you are the best! thanks a lot, i was already making good drum loops, but now they're ten times better!

  • that shit's tight. i probably never would have figured something like that out on my own.

  • Good stuff_Simple & sraight forward~

  • Thanks! That was amazing. :)

  • great thx

  • you can use compressor to make your kick more punchy / "snappy" so you dont have to stack if you know how to use the compressor, just a tip =)

  • Damn dude ... You are incredible teacher ! I'll bye the DVD !!!

  • if i new vids like this were on here i would have never had 2 play around and find these things out by myself

  • Man you are my hero!!!

  • thats awesome, nice work nfx

  • I need to go to bed...but I can't stop watching these tutorials...those secondary beats did spice it up...I"m really starting to learn a little. thanks a lot for these, Nfx

  • what do i have to do, to make the box with the sample name as small as yours?? Yours are not longer vertical, they are ordered horizontal..?? Know waht i mean?? What do i have to do?? ^^

  • where i can find more kickdrums and snare?

    I use Fruity loops 7.

  • if you fihdo out tell me pliese. thanx

  • Just search on the internet for "samples". These are mostly mp3. files or wav. files. So you can easily drag them to fruity loops :)

  • NFX GOOD WORK

  • Hi there, really appreciate your time and effort put into the tutorials, I've learnt so much from them, and still learning. Thank you very much

  • whats really scary about this...is that ive been doing this since like not long after i started producing. its bad to think that a lot of people don't do this. i switch up my bass/stack a lot but not too much. i just thought it was common knowledge :/ either way great tutorial NFX.

  • show off ;)

  • Awesome work!

  • Gr8 work man!

    Check out my recent beats!

    Mike XD
