You know this show is going to end at some point which is depressing. This show is fantastic... one of the best I've ever watched. The shows being created now do not live up to their expectation.

I'd say House, Dexter and The Mentalist are shows that could go on, but by keeping realistic storylines. Prison Break was a good show, but become unrealistic at many times. Heroes was possibly the worst failure I have ever seen. It went worse each season, something House will never do.

So yeah, there are tons of funny episodes of House, and Hugh Laurie did come from a comical background. But the episodes that come out like this video, when House is in deep pain and misery through drugs, or his physical disability, it always gives the show a meaning. This will always be my favorite TV show series, ever. House is like a metaphor of our subconscious for the physical, mental, and emotional pain that we tend to experience now and again, and don't even realize.

I think House resonates with so many people because he says what we're afraid to say, he thinks what we wish we could, he believes what we realize in those moments of doubt, when we pause to look at our lives and wonder. When I finish watching a truly great House episode, I always feel that I've realized something not just about House, but about myself.

In a strange way, House is the most honest character of all because he forces us to see what we would otherwise ignore.

I think House is an intriguing character because he's a liar and a hypocrite and he's well aware of this, which kind of gives him x-ray vision. Because he can see through himself, he can see through everybody else. This makes him a good doctor, but a miserable human being because the curse of having x-ray vision is that you find fault in everyone and everything and life loses it's mystery, and more importantly, it's meaning. His only redemption is what redeems us all: a simple need to be loved.
