I fully agree, the M5 E60 feels and sounds like a small F1 car.

But for example on that test drive the engine easly consumed 40 liters/100km, that's a lot.

I just hope that the new engine is again far advanced, just putting two turbo-chargers on top of the V8 won't do it in my eyes. Cat tuners already did that years ago.

The M5 is always an exceptional car, I'm sure the new one will also be something special.

But the M5 only has 70 liters, you can not drive a lot with it without refuelling.

Now imagine they'd again step up, without pressure they can only add cylinders and increase the engine size.

It increases fuel once more and makes the engine heavier.

I love my M5 engine but in the end I think a real good turbo charged engine developped by the M5 team could also be a cool one.

But I'd be sure to keep a warranty on it, those chargers are so breakable ;)
