Having served in Afghanistan in 03, I can tell you, that crowd is dead-locked in the 15th Century and it ain't changing anytime soon. We may need to switch tactics to Spec Ops and targeted assassinations. I don't like it anymore then the next guy, but Biden may have been more right then wrong in his assessment of the situation. Regardless, no number of troops are going to change that country. Either kill'em all or leave'em.
