Granted, but most of it at least makes a tad of sense if you break down the game code. The Missingo and Glitch City glitches are exceptions, but have proven to be deliberately programmed that way in the game code. That leads us to believe those were simply tests or debugs by Game Freak. Other glitches like the Mew Glitch are real glitches, and occur due to the way the GBC & RBY store data in the cart.

Its possible it was a test, but why test to see if Pikachu could evolve?

How to get a Raichu. Throw away Roadkill and catch a Pikachu in Viridian Forest. Then give that Pikachu a Thunderstone. Easy. Dont complain about Roadkill sucking if you can just catch a REAL Pikachu

@FlyersFool20 You can trade a normal pikachu from red/blue, or once pikachu is traded you can evolve it. So no, you can't complete the pokedex without trading, which is doubley true scince there are many pokemon you can't get in yellow. Meowth, ekans and beedrill for example.

2. Send Pikachu out first in a wild battle

3. Switch into Growlithe

4. If the wild Pokemon faints in the turn you switch Growlithe in and Pikachu levels up, it will evolve.

I don't know about yellow but in red and blue you don't need a bike to go to cycling road. Just keep pressing left and you should glitch your way over there.

Actually, as a Kid, I did that too. Mostly because I could never figure out how to get Flash and wandering around in circles was awesome for training my likely-Level 50 already Charizard. :p

@TheKillerNacho Yea it does. I just had a bunch of potions and I put my pokemon at the back of my party. Then I just memorized where I needed to go after I saw the flash. Will this work with the new pokemon games? I don't know I haven't tried it.
