Then gave Rommel enough supplies and men to drive all the way to the Suez Canal and Middle Eastern Oil, things may have looked differently. Securing Oil they may have been able to convince Japan to hold off on an attack on the States. Attacking the Soviet Union, entering as liberators and not Murders, they may have been able to collapse the Government of the USSR like in WW1

@TheAntcolo I believe they actually could have been successful in a war against the Soviet Union if it was done the right way and not with Hitler in command of the troops. Maybe not conquer the S-U no but it might have ended in a truce between the two nations. After the success of 1941 I believe Germany should have began construction of the "Panther-Wotan line" immediately and several other heavily fortified defensive lines in the S-U and fall back on it in 1943 and bleed them out that way.

O-B was very much a success to the Germans, although they didn't take Moscow and Leningrad as was planned, they conquerd vast areas of the S-U and inflicted very heavy losses on the Red Army compared to themselfs. Read about the "Panther-Wotan line", this is something Hitler and his staff should have thought about immediately after the strategic failure of O-B, they could have worked on it til' late 43' and save soldiers.

If they had sealed up the Med, invaded Malta and somehow convinced Franco to let them control Gibraltar. Then gave Rommel enough supplies and men to drive all the way to the Suez Canal and Middle Eastern Oil, things may have looked differently. Securing Oil they may have been able to convince Japan to hold off on an attack on the States. Attacking the Soviet Union, entering as liberators and not Murders, they may have been able to collapse the Government of the USSR like in WW1

In 1939-40. the Soviet Union should be considered "allied" ( in pink color) to Nazi Germany. As GB/USA partitioned Germany in 1945 with it's ally the Soviet Union....

@TheAntcolo I believe they actually could have been successful in a war against the Soviet Union if it was done the right way and not with Hitler in command of the troops. Maybe not conquer the S-U no but it might have ended in a truce between the two nations. After the success of 1941 I believe Germany should have began construction of the "Panther-Wotan line" immediately and several other heavily fortified defensive lines in the S-U and fall back on it in 1943 and bleed them out that way.

@TheAntcolo Well, Hitler made some big mistakes in operation barbarossa. Like ordering to stay at Stalingrad during the winter instead of a temporary retreat, which resulted in the death and surrender of hundreds of thousands of german soldiers. His generals prefered a retreat.

O-B was very much a success to the Germans, although they didn't take Moscow and Leningrad as was planned, they conquerd vast areas of the S-U and inflicted very heavy losses on the Red Army compared to themselfs. Read about the "Panther-Wotan line", this is something Hitler and his staff should have thought about immediately after the strategic failure of O-B, they could have worked on it til' late 43' and save soldiers.
