k624: I think she works in the make-up industry. It will be sure to be different if you were to handle make-up everyday. Its like if you were to buy a new bag, you'll treat it really carefully for the first week or so and will eventually get used to it.

I LOVE the style black collection! The eyeshadows are awesome on top of the grease paint. Fyi, the greasepaint stick has a sharpener in the back. Just pop out the plastic at the end of the container. Keeping the point sharp makes it an excellent dupe for Feline kohl pencil.

hmmm.. well need fitting: I can't afford Mac at this point but reviews like this one show me there IS something about these products. So i will save up to some of them instead of buying many drugstore products.

So "need fitting" it might not be for everybody, but for me it definitely is despite being on a tight budget at this point.

The shadestick tends to have more color bleeding. The grease paint is waterproof, doesn't bleed but it intensifies all the colors you wear over it. I prefer the grease paint.

Hey PB, great review as always! I wet my shadows from this collection and I didn't get that huge crator effect... wouldn't recommend using a q-tip as it is too stiff for the crumbly mineral shadows... I used Fix+ to wet mine and got a similar effect as with the grease paint without having to use a black base

Love the shadows. I got one myself (Cinderfella). It is my go-to one shadow lazy day. It sorta acts as a smokey eye if i blend it well enough. No need for a crease shadow if blended :)

I'm surprised that you're saying not to use the mineralize eye shadows wet. Water doesn't destroy them as it does with regular eyeshadows and they have much more color pay off and longevity when applied wet, IMO.
