I'm Irish-American and live in a Korean neighborhood and one thing she hit the nail right on the head is the driving. Koreans are horrendous drivers, the absolute worst on the planet. It's unbelievable how bad they are at it.

No one said the reason WHY some Asians from Asia don't say "Excuse Me." I've been to many Asian countries. Some places are crowded - very crowded. For example, Hong Kong Markets are so crowded that if you say Excuse Me for every bump, you'd be saying Excuse Me all day every second. Having said that, those people must learn that it's not acceptable in the U.S. because it's not crowded here. But hatred is not a way to teach.

I'm Asian and I do think that some of the things that the women were saying are true. But the issue isn't about race, but it's culture. A lot of older Asians do have poor manners and cannot drive well. But the younger Asians, USUALLY, tend to understand the social norms and common courtesy that is expected in the American culture. The Asians that do have poor manners are an embarrassment to the rest of us.

No one said the reason WHY some Asians from Asia don't say "Excuse Me." I've been to many Asian countries. Some places are crowded - very crowded. For example, Hong Kong Markets are so crowded that if you say Excuse Me for every bump, you'd be saying Excuse Me all day every second. Having said that, those people must learn that it's not acceptable in the U.S. because it's not crowded here. But hatred is not a way to teach.

In Italy when I was a child, when the only "blacks" I had seen were the Robinsons and Arnold, we used the word "negretti". The suffix -etto gives a positive and sweet meaning, considering the word ne.gro NEUTRAL: the negative suffix would be -accio, which I have never heard to be used.

I'm Asian and I do think that some of the things that the women were saying are true. But the issue isn't about race, but it's culture. A lot of older Asians do have poor manners and cannot drive well. But the younger Asians, USUALLY, tend to understand the social norms and common courtesy that is expected in the American culture. Of course many noble Europeans supported colonies in the Americas with the idea of Empire and conquest in mind but the actual settlers were the oppressed and desperate who had great ideals about building new communities and nations seperate from a lot of the nonsense which had corrupted Europe. Groups like the Puritans and Quakers came over with the best of intentions and were diplomatic.
