  • why does it sound like water is dropping during the whole video

  • I have punted a 64 yard punt before but it bounces 12 yards. So my punt was about 52 yards. I dont think bouncing should go towards records

  • @KISSfan000756 I think he played for the Redskins and the ST coach tried to mess with his form to make it quicker. Didn't work out. Being a punter in the NFL is tough, since there's only 30 of them and the best ones have a 15-20 year career.

  • @mateo134 32 not 30

  • An over 85 meter or 93 yard net kick. You tube this: "Ben Grahan - Australian Rules Football - 85m kick"

  • lol he said "what a nice cunt"

  • @monsterscarce No He didnt...

  • why does the sound keep switching sides?

  • insannnne punt! wow!

  • wow never let this dude kick u in the balls

  • @SaintsFan4Life1 Lmfao. And also, GO SAINTS!

  • i was at this game, if you go directly right of the offensive line im about 3 rows up!!

  • go tech

  • Eagels suck dick they have no one on there team the only name ppl know is Andy Reid

  • eagles baby ! chad hall and this guy don't forget d jack , special teams alone is going to win tough games ! dallas suck !

  • wind deffidently played in as a factor....Either way really strong legs and great accuracy, Eagles got a great punter......Sav Rocca better find a new team

  • You should see Rodney Williams' 90 yard punt. He was the punter at Georgia Tech before Brooks.

  • ooo coincidence?

    thats interesting

  • insane kick

  • No he's just a hell of a kicker. Also you're mistaken because helium would decrease the momentum of the ball by taking away its weight, so congrats you're wrong...

  • Experiments prove that helium MIGHT add about 5 yards to the kick.

  • @ramblinwreck1303 that doesn't make sense. How can experiments PROVE that something else MIGHT happen. Lol.

  • @slacker3442 When I say "might" I mean +/- 5 yards.

  • @ramblinwreck1303 no thats wrong

  • no you dumbass

  • @ramblinwreck1303 yes you asshole... it will go further without helium so pls stfu

  • my bad...I thought you were arguing it will go further WITH helium.

  • Look up "helium Football, Mythbusters"

  • cuz the redskins have NO special teams unit they only have a decent d and a poor offense

  • idc if there waz no wind thats still a beautiful punt. b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l

  • What a boot.

  • How come he couldn't fucking do that in the NFL?

  • not sure, he stunk it up with the redskins though

  • i know rite... smh redskins

  • @RlyFlyAznGuy

In the NFL there is more pressure from the defense so the punter has to rush the kick.

  • @lazites i never see alot of pressure in the NFL i haven't seen blocked punt in a while. i thought it was the other way around.

  • @RollTidetexassucks The snap and foot contact must be made faster in the NFL because the players can usually break through the defense and come at the punter quicker than at a college level.

  • @RlyFlyAznGuy Why couldn't you make an original comment?

  • @mwmyers14 ONLY? so the fact that he actually kicked it himself has nothing to do with it? nice job bud

  • dude its sarcasm

  • oh. cuz sarcasm translates really well through text. thats how i knew. *theres some sarcasm for ya*

  • you should know its sarcasm because who the hell ever gives the center credit for his snaps?

  • BTW I was their basically no wind on this punt! that was almost all leg if any wind it was under 5 mph

  • ridiculous

  • talk about a punt

  • Talk about flipping the field. That was a humdinger.

  • What was the wind

  • The 70 yarder at UM took everyone's breath away.

  • Lol...yeah I was their, right smack in the middle of the Miami section, and you should have seen the looks on the faces of the Um fans. Priceless.

  • Now if that was a baby.....

  • how much wind was there?

  • now thats a punt lol

  • wow

  • i will punt like that in 10yrs

  • Now why did the Redskins cut him

  • mate what a punt!

  • DUDE better than nfl players

  • DUDE better than like anyone ever!

  • Randall Cunningham ;)

  • yeah lol

  • DUDE he is an nlf player dumbass

  • that punt could have hit a freaking astronaunt in the face

  • HAHA XD

  • its like impossible to get a pump from a defensive player if you are a punter or kicker lol

  • either a fake or with the wind

  • yup definitely a fake.....during a game......in a packed stadium.....with announcers......and refs

  • the return man had to run so far back

  • holy fucking shit!

  • holy shit

  • dang hah

  • read the names on the back of the jerseys at 0:00

  • cox and choice?

  • cock's choice

  • haha good catch

  • Amazing punt

    Go Yellow Jackets!

  • what a PUNT

  • Redskins fan here...why the hell didn't he do that in the NFL, where his job was on the line. I hope we get rid of that idiot Shawn Suisham, too.

  • Good question. He was as consistent as you could be for the yellow jackets.

  • suisham sucks dick

  • lol, he got cut by the redskins..

  • oh shit!

  • FIRST DURRANT IS HURT IDIOTS! and second i was 76 yards in the air

  • brooks is shit

  • wow... iron-foot

  • nice punt

  • anyone thinkin that could be longer than 76?

  • nonononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononono

  • Why couldn't you kick like this in the NFL you asshole?

  • dude i know im a big redskins fan and i thot he was very dissapointing no joke u read my mind lol

  • Fun fact: he only joined the NFL so he could give up a punt return touchdown to DeSean Jackson.

Its been his dream in life since he was young, and after he completed it, he had nothing else to do but walk off into the sunset.

  • he's had a hip flexor all year with the skins.... he'll be fine next year.

  • Zorn said it had no effect on him doing well in practice, so I think it's kind of a lame excuse

  • They released him with an injury settlement. If they wanted to bring him back next year they would have put him on injured reserve. They have cut ties with Brooks. Hes a bust.

  • he's doing terrible in pro football with the skins

  • wow

  • dude that is amazing!

  • this guy is sick nasty

  • He is not that good when he is playing for the Skins ^^

  • The Packers could use a good punter.

  • Do that for the Skins Boy!

  • Amazing.

I'm going to go back to watching my lawn grow. That's much more exciting.

  • arent u a funny boy , faggot

  • prolly but still even with the wind thats still an amazing kick

  • he had to be kickin with the wind

  • You know that the punt returner was like "oh fuck" when he saw that fly over his head

  • longest field goal?

  • 51 yards practice, 37 in game.

  • holy tit

  • thats like the hulk punting a cat. lol

  • lmao

  • no just go durant brooks

  • Holy crap. Just...holy freaking crap. No one's ever gonna get good field position on the Skins for another 10 years.

  • Let's not get carried away. It was nice, but he doesn't do that every time. He's a very good punter, but he's just that, a punter.

  • They might not have been 76-yarders, but Brooks pinned 'em deep pretty good in today's game. I'd say that he's definitely a step up from Derrick Frost

  • lolzer i got a couple 70yrd punts in high school 6 years back

  • He makes this look sooooo easy

  • this is riduculous

  • HOLY SHIT!! i swear i dont remember seeing a 76 yard ount b4

  • Hey Derrick Frost hit the road you fuckin bum.

  • Frosty the Shankman, hit the road...

  • hold crap, i was not too sure about drafting a punter but damn that was awesome. Just hope he can do that often and also beable to do those punts from midfield and getting it inside the 5

  • But can he do it consistently? During the 1970s/1980s there was a punter in the CFL (and he tried out with an NFL team) named Hank Ilesic, or nicknamed "Hank the Shank". He'd run off long series of punts of 45-55 yards, and then shank a 10-20 yarder once in a while.

  • well i have been watching football a long time and i have seen most punters shank a few punts here and there. we will see, he will be better than derek frost though, which isnt saying much i guess. Hope he is good though, hail to the redskins!

  • well so much for that, fucking bum.

  • I have never seen Durant Brooks shank a punt. Let's put it this way, he was consistent enough and good enough to win the Ray Guy award.

  • I am not a Redskin fan, nor a GT fan, but this guy is my hero. He has the power to show people how a punt can change a game.

  • WOW.

  • He's a Redskin now, baby!!!!

  • One thing that people often forget is that the most important guy on a football team is the punter. Even though technically a special teams guy, he helps your defense out a lot.

  • A punter is *not* that important, but the difference in net yards on an exchange of punts, 76 versus 40 for the other team, means a net difference of 36 yards.

That much yardage could be the difference between a TD and a FG or between a FG and nothing. And in a 27-25 game, that punt may have been the difference between winning and losing.

  • If the game is a defensive battle, it's all about field position... and the punter can make a huge difference.

  • I'm a Big 10 guy, so I love those defensive battle games that keep you on the edge of your seat, waiting for someone to score. My favorite kinds of games are the defensive battles. Did you see the 2006 Penn State vs Michigan game? It was classic smash-mouth offense combined with a pair of knock-your-molars-out defenses. Michigan won 17-10, but had to punt more than Penn State, who missed an early field goal and an opportunity for a game winning touchdown at the end.

  • Maybe not the most important guy on a football team, but he can be your defense's most valuable player for sure.

  • holy shit

i kind of like frost he's not afraid to stick his head in there and make a hit

but yea i'd take this kid too

  • Yeah i liked Frosty but i would definitely let him go for this kid.

  • he's the best punter in the draft and a 2 time ray guy award winner...Ya welcome to washington, and good bye derrick frost!

  • HOLY SHIT!

  • Frost was inconsistent... Hopefully this kid can do something... He likes a beast though...

  • Welcome to Washington!

  • Frost is 32 in AVG and 25th in per AVg.....

    So you still sold?

  • Some days I think I could punt better than Frost.

  • LOL

  • You're talking about a Ray Guy award winning punter that has been consistent over his entire career. Being a punter, there's not going to be a whole lot of adjustments to make. Druant Brooks is the biggest "sure thing" in the whole draft. He's also never had a punt blocked or fumbled a snap.

  • wow.damn!

    HTTR

  • I was joking in my post, the idea was that I came here complaining about the pick until I watched the clip. I thought I made that clear by ending with "Welcome to Washington".

  • HTTR! if anyone wants to see this guy live, NinjaTickets comparison shops a bunch of ticket stores so you can get good prices on redskins tickets. I can't wait to see this guy.

  • Those who don't like the idea of drafting a punter don't understand the massive importance of field position. Combined with the upgraded offense, this kid may just be one of the most valuable players on the team. It's hard for the other team to score when they're pinned back within their own 15 consistently.

  • Dang! HTTR

  • Damn, and he even got a bad roll on the kick.

  • Why the heck would we draft a punter? .... Oh....

    Welcome to Washington.

  • We drafted a punter because our punter sucks and this guy is a beast. Imagine what we could do with a guy who can kick a 70 yard punt. Frost can't even kick a 50 yard punt.

  • well damn.

    hail to the effin redskins!!

  • Can't wait to see you do that in FEDEX!!!!welcome to WASHINGTON DC.

  • Damn.

  • My new favorite Redskin of all time. Glorious.

  • Holy crap! Welcome to DC buddy. Make sure Frost cleans he locker on the way out.

  • ............. Welcome to DC

  • He will go down as the best punter of all time.

  • Welcome to DC dawg :D

  • holy crap, welcome to washington. do that a lot.

  • holy........

    wow

  • Jesus titty fucking christ. Welcome to the Redskins.

  • Hail to the Redskins

  • welcome to the skins, hope we dont use you that often, would rather see tds.

  • DAMN skins aint puntin 40 yards no more!

  • Hope to see more of these with the Skins!

  • dayum! Ive never seen a punt like that in my life. Welcome to DC

  • welcome to DC

  • welcome to dc

  • get rid of Frost now!

  • yup. amazing.

  • He's a Skin now.

  • Skins got their punter for the next 10-12 years!!

  • Got that right. He is outstanding. One of the best in the game at any level. Maybe the best.

  • hes a redskin

  • im hoping he slips to the cardinals in the 5th. so far so good.
