Yes the VQ is an awesome ship. I now have 50 hrs on mine and one flight over 100 miles. I'm going to fly in the Florida Ridge Race and Rally this year and the US. Nationals at Big Spring Texas. Wish me luck!!

After "1" flight over 100 MILES i don't think you need luck, just fly better than everyone else. As for me it is SUMMER at last and it's stinking hot . In the next 3 weeks i have 2 very good competitions filled with eager kiwi's wanting to kick butt, so if anyone needs luck......it's me :-))

Learn to stand the VQ up on a tip while thermaling. It requires extra speed but the momentum and control you gain is huge. Most rigid pilots flat turn the ship but I tighten up when I find a stronger core and my friends say they can see the difference.

A new GOPRO very cool !!! Thanks mate, the paeroas is an excellent site, almost takes any wind direction if winds are light enough. The direction on this day was straight across the face with no ridge lift but rowdy, narly spring thermals !!! Great place for the next nationals 2010 !!!!!!!

I am definitely loving the Atos but i only have 6 flights on it, so i have much learning to do !!!!!!!
