  • And what about video about hungarian people? I know them very well, I spend a month there. They look little bit asiatic, black or dark brown hair, the most people is small..But sometimes, you can see the blue eyes too, it's heritage of slavic population that lived there before hungarians. And their charcter - they are very closed and suspicious. It's very hard to get know some people.

  • @666sickness Ah, another racist Slovak! Your thinking reminds me of...anyway, we're not typically black haired, mostly brown and blondes, not that it would count just to let you know. And yes, Slavic people lived here before us for like...60 years? :DDD You occupied Avar and Frank lands for this short period, so what? Nevertheless, there is no Slavic Republic today, but we have had some nice wars describing Slavic brothership. Wake up dude.

  • Most Hungarians are Gypsies? WHAT THE FUCK? Are you mad?

  • Maybe you are the gipsy.

  • You must be out of this planet for saying that, I have been there. There are minorities of gypsies residing there!!

  • I've just came back. One of the most beautiful allover, that's what I am sure, just after Cracow :)

  • In addition to my reply further down, I love Budapest. It's amazingly beautiful.

And also, at 1:14. In the back, #2 from the right.

    Osama bin laden?

  • YES! I thought it was so funny to see it near the George W. Bush and the Michael Jackson figures, too!

  • laurasviolin, excellent video of my birthplace! And the background music is SUPER, too! Thank you for producing this marvelous journey back in time, distance, and memory. 5 ***** !

  • The Hungarians around. 1950 until her hand was one of the people nor the language! Neither German nor English! Still it would be great if Hungary would be a widespread than they are today, the French

  • Azt akarom, hogy megint!

  • now this is a European city greetings from Romania we love you Hungary

  • My favourite city in the World. Also,mu favourite country in the world.Hi from the UK

  • :) Really? I'm Hungarian.

  • amazing.. i've been 6 times. i've booked again. can't get enough. budapest is beautifull.

    koszonm szepen.

  • Its problem in all middle europian country also...not only in Slovakia and HUngary...maybe in your homeland too...

  • maybe it is...im not slovenian, i only live here but people are really educate, when i arrived in ljubljana i ve never had problems with language because people talk english, deutsch, italian....same in austria and croatia,serbia...i was in belgrade few times and people talk english ok

  • Hungary was the part of the Soviet area and the elderly people can speak only russian because of it.(as my parents and grandparents) It was the main foreign language for long time. The english wasn't so important in the hungarian schools as nowdays. Look! The little children learn english already in the preschools, before they can write down the hungarian words.

  • They are about 16-17 years old, when they get the first language exam in english or in german or other (not just europian language, but asian)

In highschools the student have to learn two foreign language. I learnt english and german, but my sister learn english and french :)I think you don't know the truth about the hungarian education :)

  • man, school is not just about learning languages... though i think u are right in a way.

  • yeah yeah but you should start learnin foreign languages...think its about the time

  • Its' not the truth in my oppinion. The students in Hungary can't get diploma without language exam. (need at least one)I was in Slovakia (in Bratislava or Pozsony) but nobody speak english in the streets, only foreigns. Maybe this is a big problem also there. A new generations can speak english in my homeland and the elderly people try to learn. The english is one of the most important subject in the schools.(almost important as the hungarian)

  • What are you talking about? Barely anyone learns japanese or romanian.

  • Maybe instead of expecting people to speak english or something. You could practice the basics of the language of the country you plan to visit. Traveling around the world and just expecting everyone to speak english is an extremely elitist way of thinking. ("Oh why bother learning the language, INSTEAD THE WHOLE COUNTRY should learn MINE")

  • Seriously, you cannot expect people to learn the language of every country they visit, when everyone should be able to speak the universal language.

I am Norwegian, but I don't expect you to learn Norwegian if you ever were to visit Norway. You do however, need to learn English.

So be more tolerant. Not all tourists that speak English are English.

  • looks beautyfull, i'd like to go there :). Greetings from Poland brothers!

  • *beautiful :P

  • @Bohenos Brothers ?? you're uneducated

  • Magyars are the very mixed people.Originally, the Celtish and Slavics lived there.Next, Huns came from Asia in 5th century, then Mongolians invaded in 13th, the Iranians called Kuman settled down in 13th, plus the Turkish conquered in 16th, and a large number of Germans immigrated from 17th.Since the medieval era numerous number of Gypsies moved in and their population is around 500,000 (5%) now.The various genes are definitely the nation's advantage.

  • Mongols invaded (for a short time) all Eastern Europe,Turks invaded all of the balkan and 1/3 part of hungary. Hungarians have never mixed with turks (becase hungarians escaped from ottoman territories.

  • Turks ruled and settled in Hungary.

For instance, you can see several Turkish mosques, spas and towers in Budapest and Pecs and other cities.

Of course, Hungarians had mixed with Turks.

  • i was there this summer! n i stayed in the hilton, i loveeeeee it there n want to go back

  • I have been to Budapest! Great city, people are awesome and girls are amazing! :)

  • WOW! Budapest is nice!!!

  • Gyunyoru varos Budapest, tele adottsagokkal.

  • en is!!!

    Greetings from Ireland

  • szevasz cigány! sötét bőrű barna majom szemű sötéthajú cigány lehetsz. azért szimpik a keletiek neked.

  • beautyful place! Greetings from Poland!

  • We picked up the music on our way to Budapest. It was being played in the House of Music museum in Vienna, and was the only CD we had with us on the train! We made this film actually on our train ride when leaving Budapest :)

  • You suck! are you a gipsy, or what? Hungary was never ever the land of the jews, like no other country in the world, except for israel. Hungary was NOT created. We are here since 896, we had Slovakia, part of Poland, Hravatska, and parts of Romania (big part), Serbia, and so on....

  • beautyful country greating from prishtina..kosovo indipendend state.

  • im very happy to hear that Kosovo is independent from the terrorist serbia. Kososvo u are the friend of us!

  • What is your problem with Budapest? It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and not only according to Hungarians. It has a 2100 year old history, having been inhabited since the times of the Roman empire, when it was called Aquincum. Since Hungary had been ruled for hundreds of years by the Turks (Ottoman Empire) and later by the Austrians (Habsburg Empire), of course you can see these influences in the architectural style of its ancient buildings.

  • i speak not good english!

turks and austrians not built in Budapest.Turks destroy many building in Buda(mátyás palace from the middle ages and etc)And not austrian interest, that hungarians built own parliament, opera , bridge, and hungarian heroes square, etc, because austrians will assimilate Hungary in the habsbourg monarchy. But hungarian fight, and that come Austria-Hungary.

  • austrians built only the Citadel in Gellert hill, because monitoring the city and menace. But turks built baths, that was good.:)No misunderstand ,i love turks and austrians, but this true. And this is history...

  • bocsi nem neked akartam

  • khmm..1mniceguy1476: "only" for 150 years, and not every part of it.

  • i love this song but i can´t not find this cd...

has somebody an idea how to get this faboulous song? thanks from Brasil!

  • It is a remix of Mozart's Don Giovanni, and can be found on the cd "Mozart Lounge" -- if you can't find it in the USA, you can find it on iTunes!

  • I'm using Limewire,I am wondering if I can I also get that music there?

  • Egész Budapestet inkább ne mert wrvára lehangolók a düledező nagy szar házak a városba fel kéne újítani, teljesen komor az egész.

  • beautiful! greetings from serbia

A régi Budapestről pedig hagy ajánlam a "saját" videómat (hátha érdekel valakit), a címe: "old Budapest" :)

  • I suppose it's getting better. I studied there for 3 years. See back in 97 there were still a LOT of old, grey buildings in need of restoration. I suppose since then it's slowly coming along.

  • nice video. well put together. im going there nxt wkend. is there anywhere to look out specifically? also, it looks a lot like prague.

  • Have you been in Bp already? Do you still think it's like Prague? Just curious.

  • hey, had quite a debauched wkend to be honest. enjoyed it for the 3 days we had. would go back again defo. - and yes, i think it is like prague, just not as big.

  • Really? It surprises me. To me Prague is more like a medieval town, while Bp. is more 19th century (classisism) thane medieval. Except for the old tower and some streets in the castle.

Not as big as Prague? I thought it's bigger... Well I live in the greenbelt and travel through the city every day, so no wonder I feel that way.

What did you see in Bp? The castle (Buda side) only, or did you go to the Pest side too (Parliament, Andrássy út, "Heroes' square")?

  • bp 4 ever

  • Dear Mehmok,

Budapest has never ever been türkish place, you overran it for around 300 years in the 16th century, but it has always been a hungarian city, established by our nation. Learn mor e history :-)

  • Learn more history, barbie8104. It was 150 years, wasnt it?!

  • A legjobb hely!

  • I'm happy that you enjoyed your time here!

    Greetings from Hungary!

  • Whaaaaat a beatiful city, I wanna go there. What's the name of the song?

  • It is a remix of Mozart's Don Giovanni on a CD called "Mozart Lounge." Thanks for asking!

  • Thank you for the information, The song sounds very good. Nice trip in budapest.

  • Budapest is the greatest city in the World!!!
