Anyone loves the idea that vampires were born from a race of aliens like Fallada says? isn't it such a brilliant and unique concept showing that not all vampires are the undead, not all romantic (ala Lestat, Edward cullen or Dracula), not having fangs or sucking blood, not being eurotrash etc.?

I still think John Hurt would have been perfect for the role of the main astronaut as intended but he was busy doing Black Cauldron and other films which kind of sucks, he could have been the right man than Railsback.
