  • Interesting video. Did you know some people eat dog?

  • Animals atheists

  • That dog is annoying

  • At about 3:35, you can see a small tailgate mounted chicken plucker, did you make this yourself or is available to buy somewhere? Do you have the plans available :)

  • .... i want to puck

  • fucking people. Whats the difference between a dog and a chicken? theyre both animals.

  • @KellyForever89 chicken has much more flavour

  • prestige noob we should butcher u

  • Thank you for respecting the animal.

  • that chicken is strong!

  • butcher the dog!

  • I agree, I love dogs, but that one was driving me nuts.

Now my great grandmother butchered her own chickens. She would tie them up by their feet to keep them from flopping on the ground.

  • I dont understand how this is educational at all.

  • if ur a farmer or have your own chickens you want to eat then i can see how this could be helpfull.

If ur a city dweller (like myself) then this seem barberic. But thats how it's done.

A lot better than how they get processed in large factories i'm sure.

  • I appreciate you saying thanks to God for the food. I think thanks should be said before every meal !! I think this method of killing the bird is more humane than the neck slit way.

  • that looks gross!

  • Then don'y watch, or search for videos like this :P

  • Personally I don't think its a big deal if it flops around. I believe in using those upside down funnels if I were to slaughter but that's just me

  • Yup the killing cones are for the slitting the neck method, we just find this quicker and easier both on us and the bird. We don't let them flop so the meat doesn't get bruised and out of respect for the bird.

  • @sofuhh We use an old traffic cone attached to a tree, but we are still able to take the head completely off with one blow aimed toward the tree. If you like you can try that so you don't have to hold it.

  • @sofuhh another 'graceful' way to deal with the shacking it is to lock the wings of the bird. it will still move, but largely remain still since all the muscles around the chest are stretched when you lock the wings. just cross the bird's wings under the first joint below the shoulders after you break its neck.

  • Yes very nice job--ought you not hold it upside down to drain the blood? I have eight much large cocks to do. I'm wiating for freezer space.

  • Actually a lot of the blood drains out in the process of holding the bird after the "beheading." I guess if you wanted to get ALL the blood out we could have hung them, but we've done this before and meat tastes great!

  • Very nice video. Good job!

  • thanks sweetie!
