just be particularly careful about levels in general. Individual tracks should never hit the red, and neither should the master bus. even plugins can be overloaded in many cases. respecting these limits will make a big difference.

what was the point of not using the pop filter. Pop filters have no acoustic value they just eliminate plosives.The test should have been one recording with the reflection filter and the second without. either way it still sounded really airy and cold with your filter

@BMKikiBeats oh ok...that explains why i heard all that air in your audio clips...i just ordered a Reflection Filter just like this one but its made by VafamSound on ebay for $89 shipped....on another note, you should get a Condenser Microphone instead of a USB...those USB mics are crap compared to a condenser but GOOD VIDEO....really helped me alot

@ebeatz1234 I believe it was about 150.00! I seen a big difference using it and even bigger if you situate it in a place with sound treatment! For example, I placed mine in the corner of my room then purchased some sound treatment foam and stuck it to the walls infront of the mic. It's well worth it if you want to save money in my opinion

@starakdamian I use this mic for sound effects and speaking, but from the tests I've ran on it so far, it seems that this filter tries to clear the spacious sound I have in my room and improves my voice some. Out of 5 stars, in my personal opinion, I will give it about a 4 since I do not rap and hardly use the mic.

Haha, I remember this, it's the Chinese reflection filter knock off. I saw that too a while back on Ebay. I was going to get it but it doesn't have any real filter besides that foam which is why it's so light and flimsy. I got the soundkitz AE-F instead it's been working wonders for me. Good video though, that filter kind of makes your voice sound muffled?

@ladygodia Aweosme, wish I knew this before hand! Thanks for the info though! Yeah, it still does a bit of a difference though! I'm satisfied with it. It sounds muffled because the way the microphone was positioned. Position of the mic does vary when using a reflection filter! Thanks for the comment and info. Take care

@BMKikiBeats Soundkitz AE-F just has a foam filter too? Anyways, to get better results from these type of filters I would (in your case) turn it around, move it up 2-3 feet, then hang a duvet/thick comforter behind you. I had the SE Reflection Filter and got great results with it. I sold it and I'm in the market for a less expensive replacement and this video helped a lot. Thanks!

@BMKikiBeats you should face the room (so back of filter too)..what I see is you facing the corner of the room (back of filter facing the corner). Hang the duvet/comforter in the corner, then move the mic stand/filter position up 2-3 ft...maybe 4ft. Just experiment with it.

@BoomboxRevival Believe it or not, I did think about this when I got it. The only reason why I didn't do so is because I wouldn't want to keep squeezing in between the mic stand and the walls every time I record something. Although it may be a pain for me, it is better quality so I do agree with you. Yeah, imma have to spend more time on positioning it perfectly because I do want the best in vocal recordings. Is there something that I can buy as a"duvet/comforter" specifically for this purpose?

Thanks for the demo! I've been on the edge between the SE Reflexion and the Post Audio filter. This one is more than half the price, and the your wave form shows the differences between the filter and a non-filter recording. This is defintely the problem in my early test stages of my demo. @dbackagain I know, tell me about it! I did hear a lot about SE and there Reflexion Filter, but also heard it was way to overpriced! I did some research before purchasing this and found out a lot of people regretted purchasing the SE filter because it was to much money and you can get almost to the same quality with ones like the one I reviewed for less or half the price!
