  • He looked at his wedding ring when he said "this has to be worth something".....

I wonder what's on his mind

  • I feel this scene represents Owen's payback. Of course he could have managed this situation differently, but there's something in his words who's kinda motivated by his feelings. When he says "saving a life is worth something" it's like he's trying to make up for the child that he lost, and when he says "you have no choice" it's like this is his turn to give her no choice. It might sound far-fetched but I really think this was Owen's subconscious twisty way to punish Cristina for her abortion.

  • If Richard had been the Chief, it would've happened the exact same way but it wouldn't be so complicated because Richard is NOT marry to Cristina and is NOT Teddy's best friend. What complicates matters is that Owen is marry to Cristina and Teddy is his friend, war buddy. That is the core of the problem. It is kind of hard to separate their personal relationships from their professional ones. Just saying.

  • And why wouldn't that have happened w/ Richard ? He was also there and I understood that e supported Owen's decision. I'm suspicious that if Weber had been in Owen shoes he would have done precisely the same.

  • If Owen had told Teddy that Cris wasn't feeling well, she automaticaly would ask him why. And as she had been operating on her husband she soon would suspect that something had gone bad. Then she would become psycologically instable to operate on anyone. And as I assume that the hospital doesn't have another cardiogod, that woman on operation table would die. I totally agree w/ Owen decision. Teddy is not a little fool. Neither Owen. He's smart.

  • If we are talking about putting a patient's life at risk, well all you have to do is ask a surgeon to perform under the circumstances Cristina did this time! Couldn't Owen just tell Teddy that Cristina wasn't feeling well (which, psychologically, was just the plain truth) not to put her in that impossible situation? By the way I'm sure that if Richard had still been head of surgery this wouldn't have happened.
