In Tales of the Bounty Hunters Ig-88's activation is shown to be the result of a safety malfunction at halowan laboratories. 4 Ig-88 model assassin droids are activated and as a warmup kill every member of the building staff. The units collectively decide to undergo bounty hunter professions under the single persona of 1g-88. 1g-88's A and C are killed by Fett, one by him in a space battle where Boba Fett activates Slave 1's initial dampeners, overtakes and disentegrates him. I forget the rest.
