Well, the animation itself is from the original laserdisc. But the English language voice itself is not since the game was released only in Japan and only available in Japanese voice. So the Daphne Singe Devs had to make English Language simulation into the game so the game itself plays like the real arcade laserdisc game translated with English Voices. That's how it works.
This game is also known as "Revenge Of The Ninja" on Sega CD. the difference is basically the soundtrack and the horrible Sega CD quality, but still a great game!

Despite it baiting some of "Dragon's Lair" story plot, this game is unique in it's on right and the quality was very formadle for it's day.
