  • Do you guys notice this guy has nothing to say on the catagory of, "You may not like this car..." The only thing he said was the GT-R sign... First car I've ever seen this happen on Kelly Blue Book...

  • Would be nice to see a softened, everyday version of it for lower cost.

  • GTR is for rich 20something squids.

  • The GTR is better than the corvette; its got the same lap time on Top Gear as the Ferrari 430 Scudderia (hope I spelled that right)

  • GTR does not deserve this 240p review

  • What? Looking for an exclusive brand ? Check the GT-R for one f***ing minute , it's a total head-turner! Maybe nissan isn't exclusive but surely the GT-R is!

  • This doesn't really compare with any of listed cars, especially the corvette. Nissan GT-R is the fastest production track car in the world and one of the fastest in the straight line.

  • *RHD

  • Last time I checked the GTR is exclusive. Almost as much as a LHD skyline import.

  • What? nissan is a great brand, going back to the skylines

  • that's my GTR!!

  • If they badge bothers you, you're a tool.

  • It's a nice car, but wouldn't the Shelby GT500 be more a bit of a bargain?

  • @TitanSubZero15 yeah.but ppl have different taste....im sure gt500 is good car......

  • @ztinny1990 in a straight line...

  • @TitanSubZero15 lol, okay~but a stock shelby is not gone compete with Italian super exotic. Gtr could.........if you talking about real real bargain.what about lancer evo.... it start 38k .another 20k will make it a beast......i like gtr not only because i felt its a bargain supercar , also its aggressive looking. its not good looking ,rather it scare me first. just love it .....(Gt500 is great car ,but not for me ..lol)

  • @ztinny1990 Well to each his own, but who said anything about competing against the Italians? A Ferrari or Lamborghini may not be the fastest but it's still the namesake that brings the value. As for performance, I like to compare stock performance straight from factory not all of this aftermarket stuff. It's a good car (GT-R) but a tad bit pricey. Hell, the Lexus couldn't take out a Viper and it costs 3x as much.

  • @TitanSubZero15 Tata Nano is the best bargain. BTW, have you seen GT500 suspension? Totoya Prius has a better suspension lol.

  • you'll be mine someday...some day!!!!

  • @djkasdjkasdjdjdj He uses it as a daily driver, and has had no problems so far although he is getting new tires for it and the full set is around $900 oil changes are around $65 other then that nothin has been wrong with it as far as I know.

  • damn USa got nice wide roads, here in Indonesia the roads are extremely small

  • @KPKaccountt LOL that road isnt wide at all.... thats a back road somewhere so they could tear it up and not get in trouble... you think thats big? youd shit yourself around my town... we have residential streets that are 6 lanes across...

  • @TEEVENSSNEVEET i mean, the majority of US roads isn't as small as in Indonesia

  • Comment removed

  • @firol19 for real. It could be a fiat but as long as ur ballin, it's hot :P

  • man KBB....the GTR has a 3.8L

    not a 3.6L

  • GTR is my dream car. Do you have to be super rich maintain this car?

  • @iDunnoYuTellMe my dad has one he says the only expensive thing about it is how high gas prices are

  • @gmail4567 how bout the reliability and fast moving parts???

  • lol whats wrong with the nissan badge? laugh at me and i'll smoke you in a race don't fuck with the gtr

  • hah??nissan is one of the best high performance car... nobody give a fuck bout the brand if u ride on an awesome car

  • thanks for this review!

  • At least it has a back seat, never know when it comes in handy

  • 80 000 dollars omg so cheap, that car in my country costs 185 000 dollars......

  • sadly all rich people are like "OMG LAMBOS AND FERRARIS DERP" due to them not knowing shit about cars and just like to look good. this is a true car.

  • is there a manual with clutch ??

  • the music and the narration makes this high end vehicle feel like a toyota camry

  • @cooperunionstud haha seriously

  • in gt5 this thing beats a hell of alot of cars and its cheap comparatively.

  • Porsche, Ferrari, Aston? There’s no longer any need.

  • Don't forget you can get an AMS performance package for about $20k that will up the HP to around 900-1000 TO THE WHEELS. And you can get a used GT-R for around $60k these days, with around 15-20k miles.

  • id rather have the R-34 GTR...front of this ones too ugly

  • with the "accelerometer" fully pressed? what a bunch of retards. also, people who don't know about nissan/skyline heritage need to GTFO.

  • I have a gtr myself for 3 months and i honestly affirm that so many people turn their heads and take pics from their cell phone all the time. I had 2 BMWs before a 3 series and 7 series and no one ever took any pics of them.

  • Hmm, these things are cheaper than a '10/11 Saab 9-5 here lol

  • Good review, but I winced at "Accelerometer"

  • if i won the lottery, this would be the first thing i'd buy. This is one of the best cars in the world.

  • i literally jizzed, no kidding

  • Ok let's end this, whoever doesn't want a Nissan badge then go pay 80,000 more I'll get the gtr and we'll race. If I win I get to slap you silly.

  • @Shadower6 That, or debadge it

  • "Might not want a Nissan badge"

Who would EVER give you shit if you owned a gtr??

I'd show that badge off proudly!

  • corvette killer

  • So what the fuck is wrong about paying 80,000 dollars for a car with a Nissan badge?

  • @datpimpinboy Its a nissan, is why

  • @myuzz So what? I still dont see that the fuck the problem is.

  • @datpimpinboy because nissan isnt a high end brand, 80 000 for a bmw, benz or audi is more common. They are high end cars

  • @myuzz So who cares? only idiots care about if the brand is a high end brand, if the car is a good car, and it's worth the money, then who gives a fuck. Seriously.

  • Shouldn't send a forein car to do a American cars (corvette, camaro, mustangs) job

  • If I won the lottery the first thing I'm buying is a GT-R

  • wats so bad about payin 80 grand for a nissan shit i would get a nissan over most what about the s13 or R32,33,34

  • For anyone looking to buy this car, you can find one that's 1-2 yrs old w/ less than 15k miles and in excellent condition for around $60k, but be warned, you'll need at least $2k/yr for insurance, not to mention the following upkeep costs:

oil change: $200-300, once every 10k mi or once/yr

tires: $1200-2000 per set, once every 15k-18k mi

brake pads: $2000 per set, can technically last 40k mi, though average replacement is every 20k mi

That is approx $1800/yr in routine maintenance alone

  • what the fuck is up with that guys chin when he gets into the car?

  • This car looks like an armored military vehicle than a sports car...especially with dark color.

  • an accelerometer is not something to be pressed, its a device to measure acceleration.

  • the picture of the porsche at the end was a carrera, not a turbo

  • yes in EUROPE also call INFINITI G37. INFINITI is selling in EUROPE now. please use search botton. thanks

  • I didn't think the GT-R competed with the 911, ZO6, and R8, I think this Nissan competes better with the SLR McLaren, Murcielago, and F430...

The GT-R is simply a masterpiece of Japanese engineering!

  • Um each gtr has a different horsepower for each are hand made...huh

  • TALK TALK TALK, drift or something. just imagine i wondered why i was sleeping !

  • wow the reason why I love this car it's quick, comfortable, has four seats, great handling, gadgets, can be used every day, has a normal boot, and it's safe. what do you want more!!!!

  • I like it, but I'd take an older Skyline for half the price and build it up myself. Or the 370Z NISMO. I'm happy with my Mazdaspeed 6S Turbo for now though. :)

  • Why would i get a V6 for around 80 grands while the hot M3 is a V8 and a lot cheaper? Please Nissan people, let's stay on earth.

  • @Bourneman89 one one of the many reasons would be that the GTR is better and faster than any BMW so that v8 means nothing

  • @Bourneman89 ...because the GT-R is a lot faster than an M3?

  • @Bourneman89 hahaha you're an IDIOT! the gtr wuddd smoke the m3 and the gtr is Also cheaper than the M3... how do u feel now dumbass?? hahahah

  • Dude to heck with the Badge.. i have a GTR... when i drive to work.. i have seen so many folks taking my car pictures.. they take pics on cell phones.. This is the Hottest car.. one can ever buy.. I headed to buy a LOTUS and ended up buying a GTR.. i will never regret ... this is super hot car .. hotter than any porsche../ bmw.. You will Beemers M's a zillion's but not GTR's

  • Very nice car and impressive performance, this car seems to be a bargain, but the Nissan badge on it would make me think many many times before spending 80k on a Nissan. I'll prob end up spending the money on a M5 rather.

  • dam if i had enought money this would be my future car *cry*

  • The GT-R is just as expensive to upkeep as any high performance luxury car. An oil change will cost you about $200, and parts are even more expensive. Those 20-in performance tires wear out every 15k miles and cost $350 a piece. Those massive Brembo brakes pads will cost $500 a piece, the ventilated brake discs will cost between $800-1000 a piece. A replacement transmission will cost you $6000, because they are custom built for each engine. Consider all of this carefully before buying one!

  • @BlastDance how often do u hav to change the oil?

  • @gamer7790 If you race it several times a month, you're going to need a full oil change every 2-3 months to keep the engine in top shape. Using it for daily commute, at an average of 1000 mi/mo, and you'll probably only need once a year. The typical oil used is 5W30 synthetic oil, the same one used by luxury cars like BMWs and MB, but if you race the GT-R, you should get the more expensive 10W60 synthetic oil, which is what is used in Formula-1 race cars and will protect your engine better.

  • @BlastDance wat wud it cost for both oil changes out the door? i change my oil on my honda every 3500 i do like 180-200miles a week

  • @xxnissansilviaxx It costs betwen $200-300 for a oil + filter change at the dealer. The price will depend a lot on the amount of oil that need to be changed, obviously more oil need to be replaced if you push the car really hard (if you race it for instance). It also depend on the type of oil you use. 10W60 will protect the GT-R engine much better than 5W30, but it also cost 50% more on average per quart. As for how often you should change it, see my previous comment below.

  • @BlastDance i agree with your facts about the ''expensiveness'' of repairs etc, but the thing is that all cars which are like this car and generally luxury cars, are driven very casually. meaning they are driven once in a while. so by the time you have to change the brakes or the transmission etc etc, it will be a few years...

the only time what you say is relavent is if you drive such cars on a daily basis, which is almost 95% not the case

  • @BlastDance if they can afford the 100,000 dollar car, they should be able to afford it's maintenance

  • @Dado75 You'll be surprised at how many people buy a car w/o considering maintenance. You can actually get a 1-2 yrs old GTR in excellent condition for between 60-70k. That's about the same price as a mid-range BMW or MB. However, unlike BMW and MB, Nissan doesn't cover routine maintenance during warranty period, and GTR parts & labor would actually cost you even more than a BMW M or a MB AMG, since most GTR parts are custom made in Japan and imported, whereas some BMW & MB parts are made in US

  • @BlastDance If they all have the same engine and same transmission, why would each transmission be built custom for each engine????

  • @mmocahbee GTR engines are hand-built like Ferrari engines, and as a result can vary from 450-535 hp (though official output is 486hp), due to the variation in actual power, the gearbox must be specifically tailored to each engine to achieve maximum performance. As a result, no 2 gearbox for the GTR has exactly the same gear ratio, which is why a replacement transmission must be custom built specifically to match the corresponding engine.

  • @BlastDance Why would hand building the engines cause an 85 hp variation between engines?? If they are all made with the same components then there is no reason why one engine would make significanly more or less hp than another. Maybe a couple hp but not 85.

  • my 300zx twinturbo would spank the gtr! but its not as futuristic :o Either way, DATSUN FTW!

  • Man, that car had me until I saw the faux shifter. Poor choice. really upsets me cause it's an amazing car.

  • If I somehow came into possesion of a corvette I would sell it immediatly and get a gtr but it'd have to be a zr1 cause that's the only one that's not too crappy

  • wow i didn't know it had a 3.6 liter

  • this car would only be an option for 'true' car enthusiasts......the GTR is a legend, and if someone wouldn't want a high performance car wearing a Nissan badge, then they don't know the first thing about the the GTR so they don't deserve to sit behind the wheel of one

  • nice car, but if i had the money id rather get a corvette Z06

  • i would never be able to afford one these new, but used one at 50k maybe? However at 50k i can almost buy a new M3. Would be kind of scared to buy a used GTR, lol you know the previouse owner drove the living crap out of it....Love the rear of the car, Front just okay...performance mind blowing which is why i want one, dont have to worry about mustang, camaros, challengers..or even the M3....smoke them all.

  • if "brand exclusitivity" is a factor for you, then go drive a slower and shittier looking mercedes and porsche

  • the paddles are amazing i have one

  • I love the look I love the tech but the pricetag and turbo's are going to make it another Toyota Supra TT. Too limited in production, so you won't see too many of them around once they have a few miles on them. Well, unless it's some ingrate silver spoon brat who has an unlimited trust fund and beats the living shit out of it ...lmao. It is an investment, only if you don't drive it.

  • the nissan nismo 370z does it in 5.0sec 0-60

  • you don't know how much HP the car has, because the every engine is handbuilt....

  • this is a piece of shit datsun. look at my friends maintence bills. don't buy Nissan. It's actually a pretty shitty brand in Japan. Kind of like Pontiac here.

  • WHY DOES HE CALL IT THE GEE-TEE-ARR. Stupid accent!

  • @Ps3GamerVideos should he call it the GUH- TUH- UHR ???

  • i like this car so musch!! too bad it costs php7,000,000 in my country...

  • i love it. It's just too bad it's a Nissan. I hate almost every Nissan model except for this one.

  • do they only come in this color?

  • it's NISSAN, not Nee-Sahn. It ain't an Arabs name

  • nice, but i prefer cushy luxury like lexus ls. still this is nice. also would be cooler with an infiniti badge. good job nissan! :]

  • thats not the GT-R i will and still call it the NISSAN SKYLINE

  • @hasahisa2006 SKYLINE is the INFINITI G35/37 in the US. Please use the GOOGLE search botton before type anything. thanks

  • @bryanchou who said iam talking about the US i live in Europe and there we call it SKYLINE

  • It's one helluva performer no doubt, but why did they have to make it so ugly?

  • its a 3.8L

  • best car ever!! bad ass

  • this car is SO unreal... it's beyond cool

  • For the trouble of engineering a twin turbo v6, I don't see the benefit other than meeting silly displacement regulations. The VR38DETT alone weighs 608 lbs. That's REALLY heavy. The LS7 weighs 458lbs and produces both more HP and more torque at a 7.0L displacement, all while achieving better fuel economy and performance.

    Fail.

  • geez -- I got a hard-on

  • very good options for the car, big heavy, yet still has space and is more than quick enough for a daily driver and almost a 2+2.

  • ONLY NISSAN I WOULD EVER BUY

  • not 3.6L it have 3.8L V6

  • WANT IT NOW!

  • I want NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Engine's Volume is 3.8 L nit 3.6

  • accelerometer? umm its called an accelerator

  • @smau86 accelerometer measures yaw rates, in this case lateral G, which is standard equipment, DUH

  • @len0808 to avoid sounding like a moron, you should watch the video before commenting. cheers

  • i dont know why but a KBB review of this car seems like a joke

  • if i had $AU 150,000 i would stuff the M3, IS-F, C63 and just get this!!!

  • Thanks Kelley Blue Book! Great Vid!

    Love the CAR!

  • i love GT-Rs my favorite cars :=)

  • If I had the money to buy this car I would buy it

  • @burply2112 you might as well haven't commented anything lol

  • @burply2112 lol who wouldnt...if they had money.. lol

  • @burply2112 your a broke ass motherfucker.

  • KBB, the GT-R has a 3.8 liter V6, not a 3.6liter. Please get your info straight before you get the cameras rolling for your video reviews.

  • @bravado2377 hahahahah i know they always have some errors and i can find almost all of them in their videos and these guys are supposed to be experts!!???!!! and they get to decide the value of our cars!!!

  • @bravado2377 Hahahaha, idiots

  • @bravado2377 u've been living behind the desk, when u do real life projects u know imperfections has to be tolerable. u naive little working class citizen.

  • OK Corvette fanbois -- The GT-R beats the ZR-1 on most tracks, and the Z06 on ALL tracks. Never seen a single track record on a Z06 that is better than the GT-R. Show me ONE. I'll bet you can't find one -- I certainly haven't found one. And I researched it before I bought my GTR. The Z06 is also horrible to drive, oversteers like a pig, and is flimsy and poorly built. The interior fit and finish is horrible. The GTR exudes quality, has excellent fit and finish, and is a joy to drive.

  • @patrickdelc

evry thing ive seen shows the zr1 beat it whether its nuhremburg or the 1/4 mile the gtr loses mr GTR fanboy

  • The ZR-1 ring times are suspect. There are lots of track times on the web. Show me one where the ZR-1 beats the GT-R. And I'll show you a bunch where the panels and plastic fall off the ZR-1 shortly after tracking it... It's a piece of junk.

  • @patrickdelc

really a piece of junk that beats the GTR what does that make the GTR a piece of shit that was shitten out of the ass of a homeless person in NYC? but the fact of the matter is that the vette and gtr will all be worth millions the gtr is the only jap super car and the vette and gt are the only american supercars

  • The pinnacle of bad-ass : The Nissan GT-R haha

this thing can smoke a Chev Cavalier any day of the week LOL

  • atgskater14--------your the dumbest motherfucker on this planet u stupid ass bitch. chevy lmao get the fuck out of here

  • nnnnnnnnnnno, nope it isn't. I think... yeah I think the GTR is better

  • Get off the hashish, the GTR is faster than the z06 around the ring, there are official lap times you may like to view. And secondly, why would a world-leading car maker want to aspire to be a recently bankrupt car maker that just got made into a government asset? Ah what the heck, just go back to hugging your flag **cue American Anthem**

  • @mozaks80

and what does that even have to do with auto making chevy makes better cars period

  • @atgskater14... you seem to see no relation between making good cars, creating demand, running a company intelligently, success AND staying afloat. Something that GM failed at miserably. Can you offer logical reasoning behind your argument at some point? Let me mention a few reasons to sum it up for GM:

    1. Bad financial policies

    2. Uncompetitive vehicles

    3. Ignoring competition

    4. Failure to innovate

    5. Managing in the bubble

Summary: not a recipe for a successful car maker.

  • @mozaks80 the vette zr1 do beat the GTR :P lmao but not the same range haha vette zr1 makes 638 hp

  • its also way more expensive, now compare the zr1 to the GTR spec V hahahaha no contest

  • yep exactly what i ment lmao u cant compare cars who are not even in the same price range and say that one suck and the other on is great sorry but i think that in terms of valuable fact the GTR is way better and if you boost it to 638 hp as well it will cost lot less and it would smoke the ZR1 for few simple reasons = GTR = lighter, AWD and a special thing that i dont remember the name lol ta controls the wheels to prevent spinning

  • gtr is lighter than the zr1? are you on crack?

  • Comment removed

  • @luke26126

so the GTR is only 50 grand hmm its 80k the zr1 is 100k the zo6 is 75k the grand sport is 50k and if you think the zr1 is over priced then you have a lack of education its about 100 to 105k and it beats lambos and ferraris up to 300k the GTR is'nt that much faster than the z06 actually im pretty sure that if you make the race long enough the zo6 will be it (in a strait line) and if your resorting to personal insults about a car then youre troubled

  • there is no way a zo6 could ever beat a gtr and a GTR Spec V would kill a zr1

  • @luke26126

the spec v is after market its 50k more as well make som mods to the zr1 and guese what alls that GTR is left with is an angry driver

  • Comment removed

  • @luke26126

each corvette has the same frame and a different engine its stock the ZR1s unofficial time at nurhemberg still beats the spec v so you get more performence from a zr1 for 50k less but the fact of the matter is both cars are going to be hailed as classics the corvette is one of only 2 supercars made in the states and the GTR is the only supercar made in japan so the fact of the matter is in the long run both these cars will make a lambo look affordible because in 30 years or so coll

  • ecters will be all over both cars i see a high value for both cars as classics

  • adding mods to the zr1 is practically useless, it's just a normal corvette engine with a supercharger, it's a waste of money if u're gonna buy a zr1 to mod

  • its a 3.8 not a 3.6 ...

  • 5:10

not a 911 turbo, rather a standard carrera

  • @an50331 The GT-R is faster than the 911 turbo.. It is faster in a power lap and even in the Nurburgring.

  • yes i know.

i was referring to the picture kbb used. they said "porsche 911 turbo" but the picture was of a yellow 911 carrera not a yellow 911 turbo. check it out for yourself 5:10

  • nothing beats the feel and control you get with a manual gear change though. you will get more out of it personally than you would with an automatic.

  • Yeah I need the clutch pedal. Although the paddle shifters are pretty cool and reminds me of the Ferrari Enzo.

  • lol i want one.

its on my top wish list at the moment next to the lexus LF-A

  • sadly...your wish will never come true with the LF-A......but someday maybe a GTR XD

  • Comment removed

  • fuck you then

  • ima dodge/bmw man myself but this car is sick i would pay for it 3.3 seconds 0-60 not bad

  • LOL !!!!!!! The comments are fucking funny.

  • i don't understand what the problem is. if a manufacturer can somehow make a car with an automatic transmission that can outperform it's manual counterpart, wouldn't that be better??
