It seems like a tremendous loss, and having lost those close to me, I know how hard it is to say goodbye. This video was beautiful.

  • He could ride a bull!! With style.

  • God cried the day Lane died. San Antonio, TX misses you my friend. I had the honor and distinction to know Lane back in the mid-late 80's. The man was genuine and both feet firmly planted to the ground. He was a God-fearing, Country-first, humble man. The rodeo circuit lost more than the best bull rider ever. It lost an American hero.

    ..Until me meet again compadre.

    Your friend,

    Jimbo

    CRISTIAN CASTILLO

  • Lane was buried in Hugo Oklahoma , in the same place as his Idol Freckles Brown.

  • A true cowboy

  • I guess it was in the 90's when 8 Seconds came out. We went to the Cinema to see it. I cried through the whole movie and I wasn't the only one....

  • I wish someone would redo that 8 seconds movie......it was such a crock from what ive researched over the years, I have read time and time again it was totally wrong about him, Kellie and his dad Clyde.

  • i agree

  • Dos anyone no where Lane is buried?

  • Mt. Olivet, Hugo,Oklahoma

  • i have always been a BIG fan on lane. i watch his movie all the time, and it's such a terrible thing to know that a great hero like him isn't with us any more.

Lane was a great guy, we were good buddies and i miss him dearly.

  • I could watch the movie 8 seconds over and over again and I cry at teh end everytime and I love when Tuff rides for Lane

  • This is so sad. Im namen my baby boy after him

  • Me too, well my baby boy is gonna be named Richard Lane

  • me too!

  • Thanx for posting this "Great Tribute" to such a great young guy! I too met Lane on several occasions at Rodeos, My cousins are the Camarillo Brothers of Northern California, Reg & Gerald were Champion Team Ropers & "Obnoxious" Leo Camarillo was a World Chamion All Around Cowboy! Lane was a truly Strong & Noble young Man and I believe that all the young up and coming Bull Riders aspire to be what he was! I also remember him in that scene from the flick 8 seconds!

  • I'm an old woman and I love bull riding. Sad shame Lane died. He had a picture I saw with him standing in front of a cross. I'm taking it for granted he was a believer. That takes the 'sting' out of his death.

  • Nothing but best wishes for Lane's wife whom I'm sure has remarried by now.

That young man was quite the rider! Sad shame he died. Judging by one of the pictures I saw of him, I'm taking it for granted that he was a believer. That sort of takes the 'sting' out of losing him.

  • My Uncle Bill met Lane and he said that he was so genuine. I've seen him ride and there's never gonna b anybody like him. I cry evertime I see a tribute to him. Such a talent and golden person

  • i do it for 2 ppl lane frost and chris ledoux the are the most important ppl i have ever met in my life.

  • Um grande competidor.

  • He was an awesome person but the most better thing about him is that he knew Jesuschrist. Lane is in heaven riding God's Golden Bull.

    John 3:16

  • Isn't that Takin' Care of Business at 00:54-1:02? Nice video you made, thanks :)

  • Great video! Lane was my cousin, we lived far apart and there was quite an age gap, so I never really got to meet him. I think we might have met when I was very small, but I was too young to know who he was. I've run into Clyde & Elsie a few times, but the distance makes it hard. But they're very good people, and I'm proud to have them as family. RIP Lane, I never knew you, but wish I had.
