Beware!! This phone fades when you are in a warm environment. I am in Tucson, AZ and as soon as it hits 85-90 degrees the screen goes blank/black. The phone looks like it is off. The refrigerator cures it faster. Major issue here that needs immediate attention.

The new palm device should be the entire body of the pixi no keyboard, bigger screen, same everything, AMOLED DISPLAY, lowest model- 32Gigs, amazing virtual keyboard, great battery life, 7 mega pixel camera/camcorder on the back and 4 mega pixel camera/camcorder on the front. Now they dont have to worry about going out of business. yourwelcome lol jk. but really.

Actually, they're exactly the same plans for both. Just checked at Sprint's website.

Cheapest for both is $70. It includes 450 minutes, free US mobile to mobile calls, unlimited data, unlimited messaging, and night calling and weekends starting at 7PM are free.

You're only saving $49 over the course of two years with the Pixi. Is that really worth it considering the downgraded hardware? I think not.

actually with Sprint the Everything Data plan works for all Smartphones and Blackberry devices, it's 69.99 for 450 minutes and unlimited data messaging etc...

so it's actually a lot cheaper.

Almost no one cares about a minor form factor difference. Both phones are lightweight and comfortable in the hands. Most people care about what actually makes a good smartphone: the software, hardware, and features. Pre wins in hardware and features, and software is a draw. So naturally, more people will pick the Pre.

2. Many people that have the pre complain about the keyboard,battery life,build quality (shaky screens etc)...I don't want to deal with returning phones.

3. The pixi has slower processor and no wifi, that shouldn't be a deal breaker for prior feature phone users like myself that are looking for a significant upgrade. Plus, you can get the pixi for like $30 on contract at wal-mart so pricing isn't an issue.

Isn't that an oxymoron? A smartphone is a full-featured device with advanced mobile technologies, which would mean the people that do use them are power users. And if you didn't get it to use the features, then there's no point in buying a smartphone to begin with.

2. Battery life for the Pixi is only somewhat better, meaning it's still crap. Also, the slower processor translates to sluggish performance compared to the Pre. Check the reviews.
