My problem with this advice (and it's wonderful advice—I'm much more writing-productive on a Saturday when I take a shower first thing than when I decide to "catch up on the DVR"), is that the couch is so alluring. It's there with it's flirty cushions, just begging me to come relax on them.

Do you have any advice for making the couch less attractive?
