iloveknex < go to your local hobby shop ask them for the electronics servo and motor

but let them know the specs of your airframe in order to set it properly normally the motor prop combo is indicated on the box of the motor, I also do scratch build

hey can you help me im making my first plane and i made the body but do i ned a circuit board and everything? or can i have a battery servos and a engine? im only 14 so i dont know much bout this.

engine

servos (4 should be perfect)

and a few other vitals.

o alright but one more thing where would you get the motor for the airplane because i want to see if i could make one and i just need to know what to use for the motor than ill be all set and ill see what i could do

We usually use a Suppo 2200kv motor and Suppo 30A speed controller. You can et these from rcHotDeals for about $30 for both. Please see the Bullet Plane build series on rcFoamFighters. In these videos it shows the Motor and ESC. It also has a link to the site we get them from.

sk8EJECT, thanks for the comment. I usually use a few methods to shape foam, a hand held hotwire tool for rough cuts, then a a Rasp or sanding block to smooth the final surface. i want to build my own plane and i have a lot of that type of foam but i dont think i can make a plane like that good job

cxthomas Thanks for the comment. I,m sure you could make a cool plane, they are actuall easier to make than I fist thought too. Give it a try and see what you imagination comes up with. Thats the best part about making a scratch build. It'll be your creation. Anyway let me know if or when you do, I'd love to see what you come up with. Take it easy!

very nice ever thought of using depron (blue core) a bit lighter and also add two gyros tht would be a very nice flyer

Thx! I am getting ready to do a scratch build Depron plane and also have finished a big blue foam fighter plane. I will hopefully post viseo in the next few weeks. Haven't tried gyros yet. Maybe in the future..

Thx for the comment Justin. Unfortunately I do not have any other video of this plane. I ended up destroying it due to a radio glitch. I did though just upload a video of another similar plane that flies pretty good. By the way, awesome helicopter videos on your channel!
