On a serious note, I like all the NFS games. I'm a slightly bigger fan of the street racing games, especially Most Wanted, but I believe all of them a great.

I wish they would release a greatest hits compilation of this for the PS2 and PS3. The best out of all the Hot Pursuits and the best police chase game ever! In my opinion.

@cards7509 on the PC version, you can edit the files of the properties of the car, and the AI police cars have something like twice the speed and acceleration than the player car has. Also in the PC version of this track, the police use a black and white 1995 Crown Victoria instead of the brown and white 1987 Chevy Caprice.

against a blue Diablo SV.

i had the win the race or all would be lost and i did won.

When i won i let go off the keyboard and i was al shaking like mad so much adrenaline it felt so awesome i cant explane.

i was 9 years old back then now im 21 and the nfs games of the current day are too easy and boring. except nfs shift i havent played that one

nfs4 on the psx is a big dissappointment to me, they nailed the gameplay and graphics, but the atrocious single player game modes just ruin the entire game, why wouldn't you understand that?

thats what im talking about, i got this game thinking i can select any car, and any track and go race, but i was dead freaking wrong, it was not to be found there. i dont wanna spend money to do a single race getting a car just to race, thats just so retarded. what was EA thinking?! but thank god that isnt a problem on the pc version, everything from its predecessors is here, at least thats where ea got it right, the gameplay is good on the psx, but the pc is a more complete package.

If spikestrips are placed the next time they catch you (no matter if it's the first time)... mmm well, better no to say what happens, because it is not good at all :( Advice for cards7509, the spikestrips just cover the pavement, you can get past through the off-road but reduce speed!

No, this is the PSX version. Hometown & Country Woods have the red Caprices you see there. The Crown Vics are still in the PSX version, but they're at Atlantica & Aquatica instead (sometimes Rocky Pass & the Summit, too).

I can accept your opinion but I disagree. The PC versions contain the better graphics and the quantity. I prefer the Playstation versions of most due to the fact that they contain superior quality control, better Police chases, better race modes and a much more NFS feel to it.

I prefer the following NFS games on which console:

NFS 1: PC (only because of the SE, the normal PC version is worse than PS1)

NFS 2: Tie

NFS 3: PS1

NFS 4: PS1

NFS 5: PC

NFS 6 : PS2
