I love cooking collard greens & smoked turkey, but I have been so lazy by cooking the frozen ones for some years now. I am going to try some fresh one's. I do notice that the frozen bags contain a whole lot of stems, so I am going to make some fresh ones very soon. Thanks for the tips! Blessings!

I'm Middle-Eastern but I'm crazy about soul food due to me growing up in a heavily African-American environment which I consider myself most fortunate for because of all the positive effects it had upon me. I don't eat pork and was always searching for alternatives for ham hocks and such. I found the alternatives along with this excellent video of yours and tonight my family and I are having your greens along with my own Louisiana-style chicken and they are going to go to nuts. We used to roll our greens up and cut them.. But now the local farmers market in my area sells them by the bag already cut up to just the right size so that saves me a step!!! I love to put smoked ham hocks in my greens!!!!
