I was riding Amtrak Empire Builder doing a midnight turn across Minnesota that night. The westbound #7 stopped in Detroit Lakes DLK for an hour and sat, and the eastbound #8 sat in Fargo FAR for the same amount of time.
Nice! Saw it at Union Station, L.A. I was hoping to see #1 in daylight/sunset but the train was 1 hr late from Amtrak 8st yard so my dream catch of #1 in daylight was failed! thanks to Amtrak!

I've always wondered how the time change affected businesses and tv programming, etc
