Ok, so I've heard a BUNCH of things about whether or not Teto's a true Vocaloid. I know that she's a UTAU but I read on the sight that the Vocaloid company adopted her as the fourth Vocaloid. I also saw that she's now an official Vocaloid some where else. So... What's going on?

1: What's the difference between an Utau and a Vocaloid? I'm a new fan, so I'm not really familiar with all the different terms...

im a pretty new fan of vocaloid to (since about august)

@DaniTyranecia 1.) UTAUl and Vocaloids are almost the same thing. Only difference being: the vocaloid program costs money and the UTAU program is free.

2.) Arm warmers or gauntlets, I guess.

@ReachIsBeast Yes. Well, there are some pretty good sounding UTAUs. Not Defoko though. Her voice is completely electrionic. Also, with UTAU you can make your own voicebanks. Hence why I prefer it.

@xXKittehLoverxX You can... Er.... KINDA make your own vocals on Vocaloid as well, by editing a voicebank. Good examples for that would be Haku's Daughter of White, Neru's Ievan Polkka (the one with the bus in the background), KAIKO's Bad Apple, and Mikuo's Mikuo Mikuo Ni Shite Ageru. But with UTAU, you can record your own voice and that of other people, so it beats Vocaloid with that, but in quality, Vocaloid is better,

And Defoko can sound VERY realistic if used properly. :)

@keyblade19961 It's a program you can download it from the UTAU wiki it's free too. Maybe you could look up some utauloids on the wiki and get their voicebanks to get you started
