Thank you from Central Valley Krav Maga in STockton CA keeping "FITNESS" as the start to this and many of your videos. Without fitness? No technique will work.
awesome moves. i want to learn krav maga but there are no clubs in my area. so i have to learn of vids like this so keep them coming. and nice dance moves in there too :L
i do urban krav maga under darren selley (via stewart mcgill) concepts you guys use are very similar just slight variations.... salute to all kravists!!!
I´m a bit confused about the Grip around the Head at 3:03 in the Video.
I´m learning Krav by myself and we are always told to grip always with both hands at one shoulder before we do a kneestrike to avoide headstrikes from the enemy. Or is it in the Vid just because of the Glows (they don´t give the ability to grip proberbly?!)
Again thanks for your comments. As we have said previously we pride ourselves on using the best moves from different arts and not afraid to say most moves out there have been around for many years. Krav especiallly has adapted moves from many arts. Like them we will continue to do this,we are not afraid of change. We have more videos coming out showing more traditional krav 360 etc. Our name is our essence mixed martial arts/krav maga but there is always more than one way. Stay safe
Our name represents are focus but we are not one art.
As you can see from this clip we are a hybrid system that utilises some techniques from different arts but we do favour mma(mixed martial arts) and the essence of krav maga, hence the name. Similar to both these arts we will adapt and modify some moves and drills so that we never stagnate and continue to evolve
wrist lock at 1.50 - i was taught that to make that lock more effective you should also step back, in the scenario shown the tori should step back with the right foot and rotate his hips so he is facing the wall on the right. least thats how we do it in ju jitsu :)
@catman1233@catman1233 Anyway i don't want to argue anymore. I'm trying not to argue with people on you tube so much. How about we forget about this whole thing then?
No harm done. If you think Lions are superior then it's your opinion, just don't insult other people if they don't agree. Sorry i couldn't send a message because youtube had an error so i had to look up a comment of yours.
@bluegama500 i didnt insult you,you called me an idiot, what do you expect?and i said both tigers and lions are superior...both of them win, sometimes the tiger wins sometimes the lion wins..
this fighting style looks like jui jitsu and judo combined IMO ...i probly would like to take this class..it looks like a very good and effective fighting style
@catman1233 Krav Maga was developed by Imi Lichtenfeld, who was trained in wrestling and boxing (not judo or jiu jitsu). This system stresses staying off the ground at all costs ( the complete opposite from judo and jiu jitsu...)
@initboy1 Krav maga is about principles not techniques. Everything Krav has within its arsenal isutilized by other arts. It is a system of defensive tactics, not a collection of required techniques. We have students that fight in grappling tournaments along side wrestlers and jiu-jitsu guys. The techniques are all the same once you get to the root of it all. Its the fighter not the art.
@initboy1 I don't know what you are talking about. All of these are textbook techniques that come straight from Krav. All of the weapon disarms are what I have learned from KM. The only things that aren't directly from KM are several maneuvers where he uses Keysi-style moves (pensador in a couple of situations). Keysi is also incredibly effective and should be used along with KM in my opinion.
@jamesbigmac75 I don't know which textbook youu're using, but in the KM I practice AND TEACH, none of these moves exist (unless you count the running and streching shown here..). not the gun techniques, not the knife techniques. the choke defence looks a little like KM, but that's not how we would finish it.
@initboy1 I really like how you say "none of these moves exist" when some of these techniques are in Level 1 and Level 2 stuff that even beginners learn. If you teach KM then you SHOULD know that it is constantly evolving and that there is no plateau for learning. You can always get better, you can always be more prepared.
@jamesbigmac75 ofcourse you can always get better, that's not the issue here. it's true that KM is always evolving, but like I said, almost all the tezhniques here are not there now, and never were. I've been doing KM for 18 years now, and have never seen these tezhniques. that means they don't come from KM. they might have some small part in them that comes from KM, but as a whole, they are not KM.
whats the song? and btw after watching this video I want to check out Krav Maga, and maybe start with it.. I have 5 year expirienece with Karate and Kali Sikaran

The jungle jump music lets the video down. Goshinkwai is better so I hear, but kravs good as long as it ain't mickey mouse & this looks kosher.
