  • Paradox

  • Starfleet ships were always designed to outmatch any vessel of their class one-on-one, but this right here is pretty much as far as outmatching goes...

Wrecking through a Negh'var class warship like it's made out of cardboard pretty much indeed "gets their attention"... No wonder that the Klingons went for the Romulans and not the Feds...

We all know Riker was not known for his subtlety, but this is pretty much as "in your face" as getting your attention goes... Lol

  • wasnt that sheridan from babylon 5? lol

  • It's funny, old Riker here looks so much better than the real old Riker. :P

  • Why were the klingons attacking them?

  • thats orson wells in command of the E

  • why is it in STO you can only fire the spinal lance once every 4 min, but in this video riker uses it like 10 times in 5 seconds?

  • @TheOmega1989 a little something called game balance?

  • @TheOmega1989 - it's called Television goggles ;)

  • i bet that ship could destroy the borg screw soverign class this shoulda been enterprise E

  • Looks like the model building dept smoked some good shit the day they got this script that said "soup up the Enterprise a little bit"

  • It's a shame they wrecked the 4 foot model by adding all that ridiculous stuff on it. The phaser canon's kinda cool, though. Well, at least they didn't alter the 6 foot model.

  • @Azakhiel Well, they took it all off not long after to use the model again for DS9.

  • @ascend501 Not really. That was a CGI model.

  • @Azakhiel not in "Way of the Warrior" it wasn't. Look closely at the Venture at the end, it still has the phasers on top of the warp engines from the future ship. The CGI model used after that went back to normal.

  • @ascend501 The Venture is not from 4th season "The Way of the Warrior" but from 2nd season "The Jem'Hadar". Considering the air date of that episode is concurrent with "All Good Things" its effect shots could predate the modifications to the model. Interviews with the crew (of the show) seem to indicate that the model stayed like that, afterwards, which is one of the reasons they used the 6 footer in Generations.

  • @ascend501 About my last comment: I meant, the effects shot of the venture is a recycle of the one from "the Jem'Hadar" which was the USS Odyssey.

  • @Azakhiel I haven't seen those interviews, but I know for a fact that the shot of the Venture was new for "WotW". The shots of the Odyssey at DS9 were recycled from "Emissary". If you watch both episodes, the footage is clearly different, and the Venture retains some of the modifications from "AGT". I have heard that the Excelsior model was modified for "Generations" and then couldn't be put back to the way it was before. Could that be what you were thinkng of?

  • @ascend501 No, that's not what I was thinking of, but I haven't seen those episodes in a while so maybe I'm not remembering correctly. The Memory Alpha website seems to agree with you... though I can't confirm their sources. The interview I saw (from the TNG DVDs) said the 4-foot model came back in a sorry condition and still had the 3rd nacelle so I am not sure. The Odyssey is clearly the physical model but we don't see the venture enough for me to reach a conclusion, especially from memory.

  • Future Riker is a bamf

  • Man, Riker is a dude's dude. He's like, now I'm gonna get my pappa's enterprise, and make it my own, add a power phasor that can only shoot straight, like my trombone. Yes, it's a tromboner ship. With cloaker horns on top.

  • Assult phaser... charged and ready!!!

  • That Enterprise kicks ass. Too bad it never really happened. :p But the Enterprise-E is cool too! :p

  • YES!!!

  • The Enterprise is doing a LOT MORE than "drawing their fire". o_o;

  • Disabled with the first hit, destroyed with 7. That's ownage!

    One word: Shredded!

  • Mounted Phaser Lance is the name of the cannon on the ventral hull of the Saucer section. It's tied directly into the warp core with a partical energy converter the size of your house.

  • Comment removed

  • Finally, the Enterprise kicks ass with phasers! All the other episodes, it took like an hour to get off just one phaser shot, which usually did nothing.

  • This is the only time a galaxy class kick ass so quickly on other big guys; Y the FUCK didn't starfleet pimp out ALL Galaxy's this way???? (not including a cloak)

  • @asuch874 It was because of the damn Romulans. Under the Treaty of Algeron, the Federation was banned from using cloaking technology without the explicit permission of the Romulans. However, before and throughout the 24th century, the Federation was active in the development of cloaking technology but did not implement it in the fleet. Remember, this was one of Q's games where picard was brought into a non-linear future that the klingons and federation were at war.

  • @Nagantae yo bro, I said (not including a cloak)!!!!!!

  • Riker: (offscreen, to his XO) "Well, look at this! Appears we got here just in the nick of time. What does that make us?"

    XO: (questioning stare)

Riker: (whispers) "You're supposed to say 'Big damn, heroes, sir!'"

XO: "... Big damn heroes, sir!"

    Riker: (smiling) "Ain't we just?"

  • See "if" he can get their attention?? Yes, he has their attention. He just sent them all to stovokor.

  • I think the Enterprise is doing a little more than "drawing their fire" Worf

  • 0:34

    It's Big Daddy Predator!

  • This is were Jack Bauer got his inspiration.

  • Wonder if the Capt Yacht is still accessible??

  • When your be fired at by Klingon's, and your about to lose your anti-matter containment, the phrase you wanna hear is, "There's another starship coming in.... It's the Enterprise.

  • News you most want to hear when the crisis peaks: "It's the Enterprise!"

  • Why in this timeline the Federation and the Klingon Empire are in war?

  • @ilania95 I think the Klingons took over the Romulan Empire, and the Federation had issues with it.

  • Sorry Worf, the Enterprise is doing a lot more than just 'drawing their fire.'

  • You can't be serious, that weapon is Overpowered. Not even the Borg is that Overpowered... I mean 1 hit kills!?? He's actually worst then the Borg, at least the Borg gives some kind of warning and tries to assimilate you and your ship. But here Riker doesn't fuck around... out of nowhere Boom Boom Boom head shots. When he said I'll see if I can get the Klingon's attention, he meant I'm gonna take all em Mudda Fukkas OUT! I don't take no pussy PoV! I kill em!

Future Enterprise D needs a nerf.

  • @Sassar

Nah, he only raped em cos they didn't see him coming

  • What kind of phasers does she have on her now? Ripped up that Klingon ship like Swiss cheese....

  • @smcneal057 I think it´s an MK16 or better Phaser- Cannon

  • @smcneal057 a phaser cannon

  • I think he did a little more than get their attention

  • heheh, love the old Sky 1 logo in the corner....ahhh memories :D Fantastic finale to a fantastic series, along with DS9 :D

  • Gives me goosebumps every single time seeing the Enterprise decloak and tear the Klingons up :D

  • By the way, that bad ass Enterprise wasn't merely a figment of an alternative reality.

    ;-)

  • @USSDaedalus ...no way man, watch DS9 possibly the best, it really heats up around season 5 maybee, after they meet the dominion.

  • Man what a great series and what a great finale.

  • I think you got their attention ^^

  • The Enterprise D was Starfleet's flagship**==

  • That's what they always said...but it was not. A flagship is, by defintion, the ship in a fleet that carries the commanding admiral. The Enterprise didn't exactly do that.

  • @Nephronial True -- but look at the USS Constitution -- that's "considered" to be the Flagship of the United States Navy; by 'proclamation' more than anything; the USS Enterprise, being the most advanced starship ever built at the time when launched; was probably 'proclaimed' the same, the "Federation flagship."

  • @jrny8791

lol, yeah I guess we could rationalize it that way. I think the bottom line is that the writers simply didn't know what the proper definition for "flagship" is.

  • He did listen to the message that was the whole point of the last scene of this episode. Why would they need to talk about it again after this? What would be the point? We don't need it to be repeated to us.

  • This is an epic episode partly because of it's great message at the end as said by Q and picard acting on that message in the last scene of the episode. But don't take my word for it check out sfdebris's review of it.

  • i agree, tng is my favorite show, and everyone one on the internet raves about this episode but i would of preferred they done something focusing on the real characters and not the alternate versions of them

this episode would of been a very good two-parter or season finale but not series finale

  • They don't focus on the alternate versions of the crew, this episode is about picard's journey through this episode and it's not as if what we learn about their future selves has no effect on the present day crew because picard told them about the future so they could learn from it and not drift apart.

  • This was a brilliant story and was enjoyed by all, were you going to put up the budget for an 'epic' episode? If all you want is to see crap blow up and call it epic there's always Star Wars.

  • You're in the minority many times has this episode been hailed as one of the greates ends to ANY tv series ever. Because it stayed true to the spirit of the show.

  • and you know, i didnt expect starfleet to be populated by old people, expected picard to be dead by te tim riker went grey

  • I think human life expectancy for that time was over a 100 years

  • old picard! rofl, i thought he would witer away if he got any older

  • Comment removed

  • Holy fucking shit, that phaser cannon must be shooting at a much higher frequency than those crappy Klingon shields are at ROFL :P

  • No, the klingon bought the damn shield generator from a ferengi second hand dealer.

Right of the junkyard and up to space.

  • lol

  • Yo dawg, I herd you like warp, so we put a nacelle on your nacelle so you can warp while you warp.

  • darn rules 1 and 2

  • @grokker They fire separately allowing for maximum warp to be maintained for prolonged periods or, barring a malfunction indefinite periods of time.

  • @grokker YES

  • @grokker WHAT?????????????????

  • @grokker - LMAO!

  • @grokker - "we put a nacelle on your nacelle" Evidently, "Pimp My Ride" is also a hit in the 24th century.

  • Pimp My Starship.. haha

  • Haha jadetraveler, that Enterprise is the pimped out ship indeed. I mean three nacelles instead of two, a cloking device, and a kickass phaser cannon that would whoop the ass of any person that tried to go up against it :P

  • Yeah, I think the Star Trek writers went just a touch over the top with the future Enterprise (in a good way) in this episode because they knew this would be an alternate reality that would end up not actually happening anyway. :)

  • To JadeTraveler:

They should have made the future Enterprise, the present one, because they would have kicked so much Rombulan ass ahahahaha :P

  • Why do you believe that they made the "present day" Enterprise D survive in this episode, other than from a series perspective? I mean from a technical perspective? Surely the future Enterprise D would have undergone many refits, including warp core, during her service life? It was apparent from the modifications that it had seen extensive time in a drydock? A future version would have more output and improved IDS/SIF, as well as other refits. It was an Admiral Flagship, after all. Right?...

  • So, the past vessel was destroyed (later in the episode), as well as the future vessel. The present vessel survived. Why do you believe that is? Was the future vessel providing more tachyon pulses than the present and past vessels, due to more warp core and fusion output? Any other explanations, apart from the purpose of scripting for the continuation of the series (movies)? Did Q ensure that it occurred that way, as an example, to ensure that the time line continued in an linear manner?

  • Picard noticed that any changes he had made in the past did not affect the present day (i.e., nobody remembered things happening in the past the way Picard described when he had returned to the past). I suppose Q ensured that the timeline would remain the same. Q is known for playing silly games with Picard.

Anyway, the upgraded Enterprise D never did exist in the normal timeline, as it was replaced with the Enterprise E.

  • can y get epiosde man.

  • I think ... He got there attention o_O'

  • I'd say that big Phaser Cannon just punshed through the klingons shields, I mean look how big it is.

  • where is picard?

  • He's the bald old guy at 0:03 with the beard.

  • USS Swansea? You are kidding, right?

  • great..I like Riker as Admiral more ^^

  • cool

  • I'd say that Riker got the Klingons' attention all right. That has to be one of the best moments in Star Trek: TNG. "Sir, I have another ship decloaking to starboard - it's the Enterprise!" Classic.

  • XD heh perhaps the future version of the Enteprise had a cloaking device installed XD lol.

  • @Excelsior2007 Subtle point that no one commented on - at some point in the 25 years between the "present" and "future" (within the timeline of this episode), Data finally stumbled on the algorithm to allow himself to use contractions!

And yes, this is one of my favorite TNG moments - Do. Not. F---. With. Ships. Named. Enterprise!

  • Maybe the new weapon passes though klingon shields with minimal reaction.

  • My thoughts exactly. I've recently seen this episode so I know that the Klingon shields were up.

  • Pimped out Enterprise FTW!

  • heh even better XD galaxy class Drednought Enteprise FTW!!! XXD.

  • i call it the galactic class

  • hahaha XD i think the name galactic class is pretty suited to a future ship of this design :D.

  • the Klingons have no shields? I almost completely forgot about that scene and the way it was.

  • lol, the ships only have shields when its convenient

remember the various battles during the Dominion war? in ds9

  • lmao I completely forgot about those! There were so many questionable things during that war.

  • Maximum power to weapons, I think. In those situations, you're gonna get destroyed if you get hit anyway. It's why they stopped equipping soldiers with armor with the advent of the musket, you know.
