@xXxEHABISAACxXx ummm.....he didn't install them. It's a Fender Custom Shop Strat the he had them build for him. Those are Duncan '59 reissue pickups. This guy is a monster if you ever get to see him play.
@HeadyUnclePeaches lmao soooooo true. honestly one of the most amazing experiences ever, i saw panic at wanee twice and im pretty sure he impregnated almost every mind there
@Cm0220ster, you would never induce a voltage/current with the aforementioned materials. I know most of your tone comes from your hands, but one's rig is an important constituent in their sound. Otherwise, why would they lug their shit around the country?
@FrankyStarlite Once you hit a certain price point, their all good pickups then it's just a matter pf preference, what sounds good to you when you're playing. Jimmy's tone would still be there if he was using spools of thread wires with tin foil.
@waylay00 Yes but they're replacement Les Paul Pickups. Actually the history of putting humbuckers in fenders is because their were famous guys (Keith Richards , Steve Morse who was a hero of Jimmy's) putting Les Paul pickups in their Telecasters, routing them out and so forth.
What tune is he talking about? I'd like to hear it.
