@TheWintermule MC tactic was gamble lol. Shit like that is based on hope an this is the reason why ppl didn't like it or call it cheese. Let's hope he doesn't scout at 9, let's hope he does his standard build order, let's hope he doesn't check aroud the base. IMO that's no balls of steel, that's no skill, that's no calculation... That's just let's hope it works. It's a gamble. 4 gate In the other mu can be considered cheese, not in PvP IMO since you can "recover" from that. Proxy gate is cheese.

Even if he had checked his base it might have been far too late to stop it.

Cheesing versus a z or t is also a viable winning strategy, but still cheese. Yes you can recover, but you will be at a setback. An aggressive, probe cutting four gate IS cheese and WhiteRa has said the EXACT same thing on his stream and in interviews where he says he doesn't respect 4 gaters and doesn't respect San or MC for 4gating.

If you four gate and fail you have done an aggressive 1 base cheese. There are two --- offensive probe cutting four gate or defensive four gate. done perfectly an offensive four gate beats three gate robo or blink because it is a CHEESE aimed at SACRIFICING TECH/ECON for an overwhelming force before the other player's investment kicks in. a defensive four gate, which we are not discussing, puts you behind any build besides offensive four gate.

It's very hard to recover in the other mu when you 4 gate or atleast you need to make alot of damage, but in PvP there are alot of 4 gate strategy that allows you to survive the standard aggressive 4 gate and pull haead if done correctly. If you're pissed about aggressive 4 gate it's your own business but atleast don't shit on players that are using 4 warpgates to defend an aggressive all in (i don't call that cheese I call that an all in) and maybe they're trying to take the second gas or make costant probes during it. Not every 4 gate is the same. Educate yourself about that.
