The music tells the TRUTH and he was so RIGHT!!! My eyes are filled with tears. Listening today was like taking a time machine into the past. I miss so much that was good but memory clouds what was bad. Mister Marvin revived memory and I am MAD AS HELL all over again!!! Fox U BUSH!

  • kick ass song but now he is problbby soothing god with his great voice

  • This indeed is my favorite album by Marvin. The man had talent, and I am still not over his death. His music makes so much sense, describes alot of life's situations, and could have been telling how he felt about himself and his life. When I listen to his songs like these I feel what he's singing about. This song is very beautiful. So was he. He will live on in my heart forever. Thanks Marvin for such beautiful music! His death was so unfair. But his dad was scared.

  • shit, i'm trying to duck from the Trouble Man everyday of my life! no matter if you black, white, rich or poor....we all deal with the Trouble Man.

thank u Marvin for expressing how we all feel so wonderfully!

    good smoke out jam

  • One of the best songs ever done.. Thank you for posting it..

  • What a beutiful voice.

    What a beautiful man.

Seems to me, Marvin was in constant search of some sort of "Spiritual," healing, given the tone of his music and lyrics.

To be struck down a day before his 44th birthday, was for me, personally, a little too much to take.

I pray he has the peace he and all of us deserve, in this life and beyond.

  • excellent

  • What A Lost !

  • man this is like the soundtrack to life!

great smoke out song too :)

but seriously, marvin ripped this jazz/blues tune to the point where you could almost cry hearing it.

everybody, no matter who you are or where you're from deals with the "Trouble Man" on a daily basis.

R.I.P. to the greatest of all time!!!!

  • Amazing Song!!!!!

  • If you really look at this video and listend to this song, he (Marvin Gaye) was trying to tell us all he was having problems in his life. the bottom-line " He is The Trouble-Man". Regardless of what he was going through, he never forgot where he came from, and thats the Church. I, too misses him also, but GOD had prepared a better place not only for him for us all. GOD Bless.

  • go to hell you catholic fanatic! hope you burn there!

  • mr ..marvin .. was and still is one of the top soul boys to ever grace our planet xxxxx

  • some songs these days only sound good when they are turned up as loud as your speakers can go.

but the thing with MG is that, you can enjoy his music at a normal volume and still feel his soul.

amazing voice and amazing emotions in his singing.

    love him!

  • Lyrics. Lyrics. Lyrics.

    Mr. Gaye was/is incredile.

    GOT SOUL?

  • WoW..

  • A M Z A Z I N G

  • This song and symphony are songs where you'll never find talent in todays industry to match his vocals, his range nor his emotions... I liked how his songs told stories and how he always changed the tone or mood of his jams... HE IS THE MAN... That's coming from a 25 year old....

  • As a pre and early teen I remember going downtown in Chicago to check out a ton of black exploitation movies. Some were excellent, others were garbage. However, they all had killer sound tracts. This is one.

  • I remember going downtown in Chicago,in the early 70's checking out all those black exploitation movies. Now, as a pre and early teen,I really could care less if the movie was crap. All I wanted to see was a cop get shot, and hopefully a glimpse of a black nipple. That said,They all had killer sound tracts and this was one of them.

  • He was the definition of a true artist, for he did it all by himself nevertheless he became a LEGEND!

  • we just lost bo diddley down here in fl very good man. peace to them! i hope they know how much they meant to us and the music that carries on forever.

  • Man, this song is FUCKIN' SICK!!!!! This has to be the anthem for hoods everywhere. Inglewood, Watts, Pasadena, Bronx, Brooklyn, Statin, Chi-town, Detroit, Philly, even ATL, you name it. From junkies pissing on buildings in public, to drug pushers right by the bodega, Crips, Bloods, GDs, Kings, thugs of all kind flooding the blocks, all I see when I hear this. You can't say this aint a hard song. R.I.P Marvin Gaye!

  • Thank you God, for allowing Marvin to sing

for us here on Earth for a little while. Thank you God in Heaven for sharing.

  • smooth

  • marvin had a shitload of superb tunes, but in all honesty, trouble man is his best album to my mind: one super slick trip from coast to coast. whenever i put that record on, i listen to it all day.

    don't mess with mr. t!

  • This Is That Shit!!! Soul Music By "Marvin Mutha-F'N Gaye" What They Know About That?!

  • This Is That SHIT!!! Soul Music By "Marvin Mutha-F'N Gaye" What They Know About That?!

  • pure soul.

  • im 25 and honest to god this was one of the first songs by marvin i sat down and listened to, and i dont regret that day ever...

  • good mood music

  • This song puts my mind in focus for whatever reasons. Love this song, his voice just draws you in no matter what, and makes you forget about everything else while you listen. As for what someone was saying about a song with Marvin Gaye and Tupac that would have been incredible. Two beautiful, complicated and intelligent minds on a track or even a whole album who be amazing. One of the many reasons that would have been perfect to me is that those are my two favourite artists of all time.

  • Coolest & Smoothest song ever!

    I need a funny cigarette!

  • THIS SONG IS SICK!!

  • lovely song lolo its very touching

  • Just watch Four Brothers... amazin' combination!

  • What R U on, this man Marvin wrote/played/ Sang with beautiful voice.there was feeling of Love in the Air where he played.???

  • does anyone know where can i find the bass tab?I`ve just started to play and MarvinPapaTheKing-ROHADJON MEG AZ OSSZES GYULOLKODO ES KEPZELT BETEG AKI AZT PARAZZA H HOMOK VOLT!!!!!!!!-is one of my favourite.I dont say he is the best because he has to share the first place with Ray Charles..but definitely THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!!!RIP both of them 4ever!

  • Tudja vki miert nincs klip?v legalabb egy elo?

  • Does anyone know if Curtis Mayfield had anything to do with this track?

  • Marvin was a genius. Rest in peace.

  • Marvin, was a cool cat. He is greatly missed.

  • It's his pain that sang all of his song's. He has the most purest Falsetto I've ever heard. The greast to ever do it. MR. Marvin Gaye. R.I.P

  • I've alway loved this track, it's absolutely brilliant the way it flows in perfection. I've got a very stupid question for anyone who may be able to set me straight. Did Curtis Mayfield have anything to do with this? Please refrain from sending the typical "How stupid could you be" responses, they are more than obviously redundant.

  • Definitely one of my many favourite Marvin Gaye songs. Actually Marvin's my favourite singer of all time, and along with Smokey Robinson, Luther Vandross, and Michael Jackson he's one of my few major influences when it comes to me singing, songwritng, etc. Marvin Gaye was a musical genius and his voice can make you get lost in it regardless if you are a female or male, because it has so much power, emotion, feeling an dall of that good stuf. It just draws you in

  • i love this song!! 1st heard it, out the the film "Four Brothers"

  • Trouble Man! Marvin Gaye's magntizing film score. jazz and synth layered, with perfect percussion and keyboards. as Issac Hayes did for Richard Roundtree with SHAFT, and Curtis Mayfield for Ron O'Neal with SUPERFLY, so did Marvin Gaye for Robert Hooks with TROUBLE MAN.

  • Trouble Man, Marvin Gaye's jazz-synth layered filmscore. still among my all-time favorites. as Issac Hayes did for Richard Roundtree with SHAFT, and Curtis Mayfield did for Ron O'Neal with SUPERFLY, Marvin did for Robert Hooks.

  • Trouble Man, Marvin Gaye's ultimate film score. a great piece from the jazz-synth layered album. like Issac Hayes did for Richard Roundtree in SHAFT,and Curtis Mayfield for Ron O'Neal, Marvin did for Robert Hooks. Timeless.

  • sad to see so many such great singers like him and they getting more and more forgotted ;(

  • The epitome of smooth, an iconic sound that cannot be duplicated by any musician that earnestly tried. His music exemplifies the struggle of the common man, trials or tribulations, freedom, the cause, the Southside. Smooooooooooth...RAISE CLUTCHED FISTS.

  • This song says it all. His voice is not to be duplicated by any other artist. Christion, Peter Gabriel, have all attempted his smoothness; only Marvin can do Marvin. Smooth, sexy, seductive, South Side, all wrapped into the mystery of being black. RAISED FISTS...

  • my father used to play this record when i was like 8 or 9 it just takes me back...

  • THIS IS THIS SONG! That guitar is very recognizable.

This is the fourth time recently to have the feeling "This is THIS song!"

  • Marvin lookin like a smooth pimp on that bike pic

  • Fuck You

It's that belief that he was somehow a hardcore ladies man that detracts from his music.

The man was a genius. He felt things more deeply than most people. It destroyed him.

That's fucking Marvin Gaye. Not this "let's get it on" bull shit.

  • always and forever will i love marvin gaye"s music and its no secret even he had a messed up life i beleive no ones life is ever perfect and sum of us have a more messed up life then others and marvin did a great job in singing his troubles away!! rip marvin

  • taxes, death, and drama.............marvin would be messed up to see how crack has really dessimated †he communities now. you are missed marvin!

  • His voice is amazing

  • i agree. im an old rocknroller, but when you hear this voice, you can't tell me there's no God.

  • Spider871, who are you talking about...not marvin, that's for sure

  • REAL MUSIC
