  • Hey

  • STFU everybody. Yeah fish died and its sad but more importantly its BAD! BP has sprayed chemicals posining the water, that killed the fish(corexit), stoped fishing and posined the envirermnet and the gushing oil, and you 2 are talkig about politics. Tisk Tisk we are Americans and we need to restore our commen sense and band together for whats basically right

  • very nice

  • this video is absolutely sick. excellent editing, excellent music. It's beautiful! thank you!!!

  • What about the Western and Northwestern Gulf? From Merida through Texas into the Mississippi Delta?

  • 1st.. Vehicle is not "Shitty".. It gets the job done.. I wouldn't buy a car

I hate liberals.. but that is not why I support Oil Consumption.. I support Oil COnsumption because it is a great natural resource. I have nothing against using alternative energy.. but, if it means Electric cars, forget it..

Wind Mills look ugly and only work when the wind is blowing and solar sucks

I am for using alternate energy.. Nothing wrong with clean burning coal.

  • Anyone who says they "hate liberals," just like anyone who says they "hate conservatives," obviously doesn't understand (or has ever tried to understand) what they profess to hate so much. You owe a great deal of the freedom you currently enjoy to purely liberal ideals, and America would be a nightmare to live in if it ever leaned too far in either direction. I disagree with all of the most common conservative views, but do not hate conservatives or believe they harm the country.

  • @Scythemantis So its not a night mare we live in?Dang I was hoping to wake up soon.

  • I'm fine with larger vehicles for legitimate transportation purposes. I'm really just backlashing against your first, fairly antagonistic comment here.

Electric cars work as well as anything else at a fraction of the cost, but the battery contains horrifying amounts of mercury, which can't be safely disposed of. Nuclear power is the best, but people are still afraid of it.

  • He brought us out of Carter's recession, created 20 million jobs, lowered the deficit, income tax rates dropped from 78% to 28%, the GDP grew 9.4% per year on average every year under Reagan, Reagan dropped unemployment to 7.5%, and we had the strongest defense and became the world Superpower thanks to the Gipper!. we don't need to give up oil just for some envirowacko liberals!

  • @metalflesh666,

"we don't need to give up oil just for some envirowacko liberals!"

By all means! After all, who needs that pesky little thing called 'the environment'?

  • It's not about "envirowacko liberals," asshole. The oils pill WILL cause the total extinction of many, many species and ruin the livelihoods for millions of human beings. Of course we can't "give up" oil, but we should have been using a more diverse mix of energy sources all along. Reliance on any one thing can cause nothing but harm and it has already done so.

  • And why the hell do you think money, business, the economy and employment are valid things to bring up here? All of those are utterly valueless compared to the natural state of the environment, and protecting the environment WOULD NEVER HINDER ANY OF THEM IN THE LONG TERM. Human economy can adapt and recover to changes in infinite ways. When a species is gone, however, it is fucking gone. No species should be wiped out just for people to make a buck.

  • Strike back O mother. Spin your mighty wind ,Open your outer shell ,Shake us loudly so that we hear you ,Spew fire from your Highest top's. Send mountains of water into the city's Drowned out are Screams ,Treat us like we treat you, If you destroy us we cannot hurt you know more ,Remove us from what is left of your beauty ! We Don't deserve it .

  • stop blaming republicans.. It is not for self interest.. Oil is in the interest of the American people! It is a way of life for us.. its used in all of our plastics, besides our SUV's which Americans love, and I love!

  • @metalflesh666 exactly. Which is why we should find ways to quit using it. It's embarrassing, how dependent we are on this one, single product.

  • @metalflesh666 - WRONG!!

If it weren't for profits and greed we'd have had a much different energy policy before Ronnie Rayguns took office - no Gulf War - no Afghanistan War - no Exxon Valdez! Years ago, Henry Ford made an entire car from palstics made from hemp oil!

AND Guess what! It's not all about you and what you 'like'!!

  • There are easy ways to make oil consumption safer and more effective in ways that would even save us consumers money, but because of pure corporate greed and LAZINESS, we as a society have made very little effort to do so.

And fuck you and your SUV. Not only does it waste fuel for the rest of us, it's a mortal danger to people in more ordinary cars on the road. Get your head out of your ass, you pathetic fucking ingrate.

  • NOw you have just shown your ignorance. You are a waste of time.

I never said anything about the Oil SPill being good. Didn't your parents teach you to have manners and speak without using profanity? Since you are obviously nuts.. they either taught you nothing, or you didn't listen.. Either way, your views are backwards, and destructive to this society. If we are lucky, you will get arrested and lose your right to vote and protect AMerica from making the same mistake twice.

  • LOL! So because my opinion differs from yours I'm an anti-American criminal? What a typical lunatic republican mindset. Also, I am an adult, I can and will use whatever language I please, and if you are an adult, you should have the maturity to take it like an adult.

Yes you have defended the oil spill like it's not a big deal, and YOUR views are 100% inherently harmful. You attack the entire notion of alternative energy sources while oil prices continue to skyrocket? How can you be so STUPID?

  • @Scythemantis oh.. and furthermore.. I will drive my SUV.. screw pathetic little vehicles that can't store or haul anything.. death traps on the road.. I'll take my truck and SUV because they are capable vehicles that get the job done. Can you pull a boat in a Neon? I don't think so.. You don't like it.. don't buy it... no one cares.. I won't buy an electric car, and wouldn't want one.. I enjoy life and the things God put on it, and Oil is one of em and there is plenty for us!

  • No there isn't. Oil dependency has caused serious problems for economies and cultures all around the world for many generations, it is sheer stupidity to continue depending on it and the ONLY reason you're claiming to support it is because you have a stubborn prejudice against what you consider "liberal" views. Alternative energy isn't liberal, it's science. It's logic. Anyone opposed to it is an enemy of progress.

And why do you enjoy wasting so much of your money on such a shitty vehicle?

  • Thank You BP Thank You US Republicans ! For taking so much from the American people ! Allowing Big Money everything , for self interest ! ( not ! )

  • This was incredibly beautiful, yet so tragic to know that BP, Haliburton and Transocean have changed this forever, for the worse. It can never be returned to pre-spill condition. We will come close, but it will never be the same. They need to pay for this in not just dollars, but in industry wide changes. BP has proven time and again, that failed safety inspections are to them, just a cost of business. They don't care who or what they destroy in the process.

  • BP ....

  • We need to go back with human occupied submarines now to see what has been damaged and for years to come, monitoring recovery, water quality, sampling sediments for oil and dispersants. How many of these areas are protected from trawling or other destructive fishing practices?

  • Poetry.Thanks,

  • David,

This is beautiful and heartbreaking, an epitaph to the Gulf.

    Thanks for sharing! Best, Shari
