  • Ma Faarzandan iran hastim

  • subtitle is totally off

  • watching this movie emplyes if most of iranians r mean, is that wat director wana tell d world?

  • @shebishobi seriously? wow ... no ............. he's just pointing out the racism that is present in iran towards its own people based on the color of their skin, and the variety in culture and physical features that is found .. and many other things obviously too... not all iranians are like that, this movie is old and people back then were different ... there is still racism in iran, but racism is everywhere. only time can make it fade

  • @faintmelody i c, its ok then.

  • @faintmelody well you also have to take some other things into account. In this story, Bashu is from a far off village and so are the people in the village who receive him. The people in that village have probably never traveled far and seen a person his color. So they will automatically brand him as charcoal or black. What is important here is the bond that develops between him and the new female guardian who despite the prejudice doesn't give up on him and let him go. So much humanity!
