@midtoad Hi, This is LC Sp 1, different from the trimmers on current model Spiruline. This one the trimmers neutral all off, and then getting more slow when you pull them on. So I started with medium slow, and then pulled on full slow, in fact past the very slow marker bar tack. This is really too slow and close to the stall point, for example full on is hard to launch. Current model offers fast all off, neutral mid mark, slow deep mark roughly. Thread This change on PG Forum. BW Bill
@glidewatch Hmm, I wonder if my Spiruline is current or older model. I was advised to loosen trimmers by 1" for launching, so that sounds like newer model. I found wing wanted to fly faster than I liked while running down a very steep hill to launch.
@UTubeGlennAR - Many thanks for that advice, I must admit that I am only just starting to experiment with the R settings - I will give it a go - BW Bill
b. Lots smaller files for your computer to churn on when editing.
c. Won't fill your HD as fast.
But checkout the other R numbers for your self n see what U think.
One more quickie GP tip, always read the little window n make sure you are in the mode U intend to be in. With only 2 buttons, tiz easy to be in the wrong mode n flub up your shot.
Did the mount for your shin cam brake on the landing?
@UTubeGlennAR Thanks or this advice, you are right about checking the mode, I have once taken off thinking I was in video and ended up with one photo! Yes, the sticky mount on my knee pad did come off, it is very strong but will detach if you really bash it, hence my little safety line. I must say that the Go Pros seem to take a hell of a battering without much harm (I hope!) BW Bill
Yes probably 80 degrees out of wind, you can see from the film what the down wind leg was on the hill, very fast right to left, slow left to right. This is an easterly site but the wind was south east. Also the landing area is a bowl so the wind is masked a lot in the last fifty feet! Obviously need to practice more and not bash my knee cam. Good to hear from you.
woohh!!!...nice space...!!!

Bill, at 4:15 did you set the trimmer to slow? Why was It on fast earlier?

Love the toe/shin cam - Great vid......
but
just wonder why U didn't capture your footage in 1080 or at least 720 wide angle?
.
Suggest U consider setting your power up default to at least R2.

I find R2 gives good quality.
a. Look same as R5 on uTube to me.
b. Lots smaller files for your computer to churn on when editing.
c. Won't fill your HD as fast.

Did the mount for your shin cam brake on the landing?
