  • whats the car capable of now?

  • so the car is on a dyno and you didnt get it tuned? come on dude. you even were tellin about the gm tune.

  • @BLACKLACDTS

I wanted some base numbers so I could see how much I gained after mods. Go to the forums, 240whp is the average dyno for a stock ss/tc. I had the car street tuned with HP Tuners.

  • @marinmijatovic your better then me. you have a car that loves mods, you race it, your on the forums, you dyno it but dont mod it! i had my trailblazer ss 1 day before the mods came.

  • Got this whip too 08 but still bone stock, thats gonna change tho,but my point is that these cars get underestimated, evrywhere I got ppl think its shitty cuz the older 07 ss was weak, these new cobalts tho are as good as the sti's and the new mr's except cheaper, the ss goes for 25k and the evo mr goes for 40k, let me dump 15 g's into my ss and see what happens to the evo,i guess it all comes down to reputation which the evo has,hp wise these cars are pretty much identical,at the wheels ofcourse

  • a car is a pkg u cant compare the evo to this its not the same thing cuz then we can also say lets compare an old 300zx twin turbo that is like 15k mint with 10k in it or a skyline or an older evo or even just a stock supra. this is in a league that cant be compared with those cars. for wat it is its fast enough but strait line performance doesnt tell the whole story! this would be a great comparison with an srt4. btw evo might run the same hp but track wise this would be lost behind.

  • why the hell is it sideways lol?

    Great Car !!

  • Thought it could be rotated, I was wrong.

  • Doesn't matter to me its already a five start car and vid!

  • i think i have a video of this dyno on my computer as well.

  • weird i don't like how dyno's differ so much i put down 251 whp and 262wheel tq in mine... maybe it is cause i had one of the first five sold to the public lol :)

  • Unlikely since the computer in the car regulates boost so you always make 260/260 crank hp/tq. What type of dyno did you run on? Either way, great numbers dude.

  • ran on a mustang dyno but for some reason i spike 18lbs, the ecu doesn't reg the hp or tq btw it regulates the boost (found that out the shitty way when i tries to boost 22 untuned and ended up with spiking 21 and dropping to 12 :(

  • ...That's what I wrote dude, I said "the car regulates boost so you always make 260/260". It calculates all the variables like outside temperature and changes the boost to make sure it's always at 260 hp and tq. The GM tune will take care of that though, haha can't wait.

  • I ran my Stage 2 SC (dealer installed and no other mods whatsoever) against a brand new SS/TC on a Dynapack dyno.

    Back-to-back testing resulted were: Stage 2 SC - 227whp, SS/TC - 237whp (close to what you got).

All in all, I'm quite happy to have a fully warrantied Stage 2 that's within 10whp of a new SS/TC!

  • Nice wheel horsepower numbers indeed, but what torque numbers did you put down? I'm going to guess around 205wtq.

  • Dude. I'm so jealous. I want a cobalt TC. But I can't until I finish college..
