Nice piece. It was interesting to see a reenactment of a 17th century burning in the sodium lights of modern Italy. I'm willing to bet that, unless people wake up, the world is going to slip into a religio-coma for a hundred years.
We've had a hard time completing this. Our trials and tribulations include almost 50 hours of footage shot by a Dominican, stolen at the end of the shoot! It's hard to believe that 400 years after being burned at the stake, Bruno is still a threat to those who can't see the Divine in anything but orthodox beliefs. His views were heretical but deeply spiritual, and this work has many friends in Europe and the U.S. who have believed in it and stood by me all these years.
Bless you, George! I'm the producer of this video, edited by my friend, George. The footage was shot by Mike Rubbo, Emmy-award winning documentary filmmaker ("Vincent & Me," "Waiting for Fidel") at the Campo dei Fiori in Rome, February 17-19, 2000. I'm so pleased to see this up on YouTube! Thanks to Mike and George for your beautiful work -- and for posting it to share with the world. If anyone wants to know more about Bruno, please contact me and help spread the word! - Julia Jones
I read a lot about him while researching, he could have off recanted but he didn't, a true martyr for science.
