Where in the constitution does it say anyone has the right to privacy? All I can find is no unreasonable searches and self incrimination. Maybe I'm wrong but I have alway thought privacy was your own responsibility. If privacy is a right then the government should be protecting it at all times. How is that possible? Don't get me wrong, I love my freedom but the less the Government does for me the better.
This is not based on the Constitution. It's based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Look it up. It's very cool. It's for every individual on Earth.
No matter who thought of it up, the idea of a RIGHT "look that word up" to privacy is pretty silly. How do you in force it? Your calling on the government to take action on something you should do yourself. You want big world government? Then kiss all your rights good bye!
Also, in the add that kid gave back the note on his own because he thought it was the right thing to do. I didn't see anyone from the U.N. with a gun to the kids head forcing him to give it back with out reading it.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is long list of do's and don't s you could stuff in a file cabinet. The Constitution fits nicely in my back pocket.
It's not the responsibility of a government to enforce rights, unless in extreme conditions... maybe. Yes, these are things that we should all do ourselves. I COMPLETELY agree! The ONLY reason that huge governments exist in the first place is because of irresponsible people. WE THE PEOPLE CREATE THE GOVERNMENT THAT EXISTS! The point of these videos is to bring awareness. And to encourage us, people, to enforce it on each other. The concept of "Mind your own business" needs to disappear.
The only reason bad things happen is because good people stand by and do NOTHING! I do NOT want world government. I want my fellow human beings to be aware of things like this and to be responsible for themselves AND OTHERS. Because if that happens, we won't need a government. Maybe a very minimal government. I don't think anything should be enforced. That's not the way to truly handle the problems of the world. The correct thing to do is to educate. That's the purpose of this video. Make aware.
Good points, but I still think it's more of a privet property issue than a privacy issue. Meaning that that note she had should be seen as privet property. Something the good folks who though up the Universal Declaration of Human Rights would like to do away with.
The video is an interpretation of the right. The privacy comes from the thought on the paper, not the paper itself. She has the right to keep her thoughts to herself. Get it? And just because the governments who made this have bad people in them doesn't mean this shouldn't be supported. It's a great video with a great message. Would you agree?
Not true. Per the Universal Decleration of Human Rights, "No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence..." Anything which is yours that you consider private, per your human rights, ought to be so.
Yes that's true, and in short version:"the right to privacy". This campaign is to spread human rights to people in a simple way that everybody understand, that's the purpose.
