@Youtubbemain Dude it has been over 11 years; GET OVER IT. Maybe if Al Gore won his own fucking state and Billy Jeff Joe Bob's state of Arkansas, maybe things would have turned out the way you wanted. It didn't, so shut the hell up about it.
@Youtubbemain Really? Didn't Gore lose his home state; that pretty much denied him the White House? Win Tenn..and Florida is just a late state coming in...
If it weren't for Janet Reno's intervention in the Elian Gonzales Incident GORE would have won. 25,000 Hispanic Voters showd their appreciation by DELIBERATELY leaving Gores position on the Ballot blank, doing what I call "Casting their vote to the wind".
Wow, its kind of odd to look at this. Everyone was cheering, things seemed like normal. Without knowing, the next 8 years would change America, and the world, forever.
@exbronco1980 He will be out on his ass come election time the people are fed up with his elitist attitude and how he is digging the hole deeper and deeper, everything he has said has literally been a lie, remember when you wanted to end those wars and Bush was a very bad man? What is so surprising but not surprising is that most of the idiots here that voted for Obama would still vote for him, regardless of the continued destruction he reigns upon our country.,...bunch of hyporctritical idiots. @TRAVLER5000 I've been laughing for 15 minutes over this. You are to funny. Obama best thing ever sure. He was so great that the Dems are loosing the senate and house only 2 years into his presidency.
@TRAVLER5000 So what if Democrats lost the house. Clinton lost the senate and house in the 1994 midterms and was still re-elected. So don't celebrate to damn early.
I was born in 1971 and I only like one President in my life time and that's Ronald Reagan. Solid leader. Great American.
Nixon was a crook> Ford was a good guy, but not a good leader. Carter was a nightmare. Bush Sr. was solid in foreign affairs sold out Conservatism in hgis domestic policy. Clinton was highly irresponsible in all aspects of the job as was Bush Jr. But Obama???? Good God he is the worst. I am convinced his goal is to bring America to her knees.
Also, don't you know? Calling Obama a bad President makes you a racist. Saying anything against Obama means you are a KKK member. It's forebidden to speak against the (half) black President.
Yeah but Clinton still lost congress as was re-elected in 1996. People still didn't trust him. He won because his opponent was a washed up dinosaur named Bob Dole. Clinton failed to get 50% of the vote. It was a case of people picking the lesser of two evils.
Still, I would of taken Dole. At least he was too old to fool around with that intern and maybe he might of done something about all those terror attacks on Americans abroad in the late 90's instead of seeking a blow job.
@nparga23 You know nothing presidential history thats whats very clear. There is no way in hell Obama is the worst president. Why don't you read a book and learn something about presidential accomplishments and failures from 1798 to present. Maybe you'll have a better knowledge of history instead picking on Obama. But I know you'll come back at me cuss your ass off and call me names. I think you're bigotry is driving you nuts and not thinking rationally. Thats pretty common with conservatives.
Every recount showed gore won by a few hundred votes so...."uhh yeah, the supreme court filled with conservatives from the reagan/Bush sr. years invalidated votes to swing the election to bush, their preffered candidate.....lieral supreme court my ass.
@willhunting1995 how is winning the elections on ALL RECOUNTS (even later media recounts) "stealing?"...if you want to see Stealing votes and fraud elections check the LBJ senate election and the JFK election when fraud in chicago stole the election from Nixon... you are just a conspiracy nut... go kiss our Gore poster.. .he couldn't even win his OWN state!!!!
@WindAndTheLion If a Republican presidential candidate lost his home state, we'd never hear the end of it from the liberal media. ACORN & the Democrats produced plenty of votes from inmate felons for Gore in Florida, managed to exclude lots of votes for Bush from military people overseas voting absentee and Bush still won. ACORN learned their lesson and now we see many more votes for Democrats coming from Fred Flintstone, Mickey Mouse and Daffy Duck.
@WilliamRowlett oh yea... the dems get the cemetery vote, the illegals... the ex cons... the multiple votes... old Chicago machine said "vote early and often"... stuff the ballot box... find sudden "missing votes" from indian reservations (as one senator i know did)... the democrats tend to find elections very annoying... they'd rather just be voted in for life as they know better than the dumb masses that won't drink their kool-aid... Democrats would rather just have a Politburo
@WindAndTheLion Ouch! When I'm in a cemetery, I don't want my vote going for Gore or Obama. Yes, good point you make. Democrats hate those pesky, annoying, tax-payer, working people who join "Tea Parties" because the "tea-baggers" aren't happy about having their taxes raised. Jeez, I work hard and you Democrats want to take away more of my money and I am supposed to "love" you for it?
Thank God I am from Tennessee! Al Gore is not liked here and neither is Obama. Bush has been criticized for our current recession. But remember the economy was pretty good thru 2006. It was Chris Dodd, Barney Frank , and Maxine Waters who caused the financial melt down and refused to reel in fannie and freddie. Had this been done. McCain would have rolled to victory in 2008.
Bush was going to win regardless because of CLINTON FATIGUE and Gore couldn't even win his own homestate of Tennessee and once he choked TN to Bush, then it was over.
Nixon and Reagan each won 49 of 50 states.. .THAT is Unity... the opposite of Obama's divisive rule... and in 2000 Bush won every recount (as well as ABC News recount a year later)... Gore couldn't even win his own Tennesse... haha... the only stealing done in country was when JFK stole the election from Nixon in 1960 thru fraud votes in Chicago...and you know how that ended up...
@WindAndTheLion, I think Gore knew he lost the election once he lost Clinton's Arkansas, his own home state of TN, including losing OHIO (if you lose the Buckeye State, you'll never be President).
@sboudreaux27 Gore could not carry even his own TN or Clinton's AR... And WHAT democrat ever loses West Virginia!... The vote was dead close but Gore lost in Florida. The USSC finally stopped Gore trying to overturn the results. At NO time that election night was Gore ever ahead in FL... it is his own damn fault and he can blame the people that know and hated him most in TN
@WindAndTheLion if you're trying to prove that republicans unite people better that democrats you're wrong. Electoral votes dont count for crap next to the popular vote. LBJ won the largest popular landslide in presidential electoral history, and if you do want to go the route of electoral votes FDR won reeganesque victories in four consecutive elections during some of the toughest times in our nations history....That was a unifing president.
@JP1226294 W. Bush got more popular votes than LBJ... so nice try... NIXON got 49 of 50 states... REAGAN got 49 of 50 states... Bush 1 and Bush 2 both has up to 90% approval at one time... THAT IS UNITY.... Clinton never even got a majority... and NO PREZ is more divisive than Obama... read the polls!... he is hated ... a VERY divisive leader, not a uniter at all...
Sorry man, they did count all the valid ballots. You didn't understand what I was saying. The supreme court put an end to the arbitrary inclusion of legally disqualified ballots because there were no standards for determining their validity. Ballots with no marks, partial marks, etc. have always been disqualified. After the first recount Gore's team tried to have these ballots reviewed and included in hopes the that it would put him over the top. The Supreme Court said "No".
All Algore had to do to become Prez was win his "home state" of Tennessee which he failed to do. When you can't even do that, anybody else would be embarrassed. Not Algore. What a turkey. He put this country through pure hell for 30 plus days and recount after recount still had him losing Florida every time. Spare me your crap of Bush "stealing" this election. Gore is a self-righteous jerk. Now we learned he's getting massages at 11:00 pm at night and trying to french kiss the masseuse. Turd!
@WilliamRowlett, Gore could have also won Arkansas, Ohio, Missouri, and take either Kentucky or West Virginia: the states Clinton won twice in '92 and '96. It also didn't help that Gore lost Nevada as well.
the day bush got in, i said to myeslf, 8 years later, we're gonna be a shit hole...now why did I say this? because I actually read up on Bush's bio...not indepth...just cursory, and I tell you he left a trail or disaster...and behold, I hate it when I'm right
The Supreme Court did not decide who was president. They decided whether the standardless arbitrary counting of legally disqualified ballots should continue or not. They decided it shouldn't. And at no time during any of the recounts was Gore ever ahead. The inclusion of disqualified ballots was Gore's last stand, and since there would have to be a lot of objectivity in determining whether the ballots were for Bush or Gore, they put a stop to it.
@JoseTwitterFan OK i wasn't big on Bush, but please "when America fell to Fascism" -- do you even know what Fascism is? Do you have a working definition for it? Or is it just something you toss around when you don't like something?
@zark78 shit, im wasnt the biggest fan of Bush, however if Gore had won, he would have sat on his peter panzy puffing ass as Carter would have on 9/11, and we would not still be the greatest country in the world. They would have walked all over us. But then again you liberals dont like a strong america do you?
@wegaify How do you figure? Every single study done on the Florida results has shown that, no matter how the recount was conducted - and even if Gore had his way and they only recounted heavily Democratic counties (something Gore's own team called "trolling for votes") - Bush won Florida. Gore was trying as hard as he could to bend Florida law to squeeze his way into the White House. The idea that Gore actually won Florida is a laugh and no one with a brain takes it seriously.
I can't believe it will be that long this Fall!! It has flown by so fast!! The reason why that election was so close was because as Al Gore said at the 2008 DNC, many believed that there wasn't much difference between Bush and Gore and it didn't really matter who became president, as the nation was enjoying peace and prosperity then, and many assumed that the nation would continue with both regardless of who won. I believe that Bush is a good man, but made some poor choices as president.
@elfgirl3, THANK YOU.

PawtucketPatriot66 1 year ago
@PawtucketPatriot66 So just because I think Obama is a terrible president, that makes me a racist? Yeah that's real nice.
davidspade200 1 year ago
@MrManuel822
PawtucketPatriot66 1 year ago
@nparga23 You know nothing presidential history thats whats very clear. There is no way in hell Obama is the worst president. Why don't you read a book and learn something about presidential accomplishments and failures from 1798 to present. Maybe you'll have a better knowledge of history instead picking on Obama. But I know you'll come back at me cuss your ass off and call me names. I think you're bigotry is driving you nuts and not thinking rationally. Thats pretty common with conservatives.

WindAndTheLion 1 year ago 2
@WindAndTheLion If a Republican presidential candidate lost his home state, we'd never hear the end of it from the liberal media. ACORN & the Democrats produced plenty of votes from inmate felons for Gore in Florida, managed to exclude lots of votes for Bush from military people overseas voting absentee and Bush still won. ACORN learned their lesson and now we see many more votes for Democrats coming from Fred Flintstone, Mickey Mouse and Daffy Duck.
WilliamRowlett 1 year ago 2

BillyBlues34 1 year ago
Bush was going to win regardless because of CLINTON FATIGUE and Gore couldn't even win his own homestate of Tennessee and once he choked TN to Bush, then it was over.
sboudreaux27 1 year ago
Nixon and Reagan each won 49 of 50 states.. .THAT is Unity... the opposite of Obama's divisive rule... and in 2000 Bush won every recount (as well as ABC News recount a year later)... Gore couldn't even win his own Tennesse... haha... the only stealing done in country was when JFK stole the election from Nixon in 1960 thru fraud votes in Chicago...and you know how that ended up...
WindAndTheLion 1 year ago
@WindAndTheLion, I think Gore knew he lost the election once he lost Clinton's Arkansas, his own home state of TN, including losing OHIO (if you lose the Buckeye State, you'll never be President).
sboudreaux27 1 year ago
@sboudreaux27 Gore could not carry even his own TN or Clinton's AR... And WHAT democrat ever loses West Virginia!... The vote was dead close but Gore lost in Florida. The USSC finally stopped Gore trying to overturn the results. At NO time that election night was Gore ever ahead in FL... it is his own damn fault and he can blame the people that know and hated him most in TN
WindAndTheLion 1 year ago
@WindAndTheLion if you're trying to prove that republicans unite people better that democrats you're wrong. Electoral votes dont count for crap next to the popular vote. LBJ won the largest popular landslide in presidential electoral history, and if you do want to go the route of electoral votes FDR won reeganesque victories in four consecutive elections during some of the toughest times in our nations history....That was a unifing president.
JP1226294 1 year ago
@JP1226294 W. Bush got more popular votes than LBJ... so nice try... NIXON got 49 of 50 states... REAGAN got 49 of 50 states... Bush 1 and Bush 2 both has up to 90% approval at one time... THAT IS UNITY.... Clinton never even got a majority... and NO PREZ is more divisive than Obama... read the polls!... he is hated ... a VERY divisive leader, not a uniter at all...

@Claronium780

Turd!
WilliamRowlett 1 year ago
@WilliamRowlett, Gore could have also won Arkansas, Ohio, Missouri, and take either Kentucky or West Virginia: the states Clinton won twice in '92 and '96. It also didn't help that Gore lost Nevada as well.

the day bush got in, i said to myeslf, 8 years later, we're gonna be a shit hole...now why did I say this? because I actually read up on Bush's bio...not indepth...just cursory, and I tell you he left a trail or disaster...and behold, I hate it when I'm right
dalecampbl5 1 year ago 2
its funny they were half dead when he won hahaha
xmikemassacre 1 year ago
The Supreme Court did not decide who was president. They decided whether the standardless arbitrary counting of legally disqualified ballots should continue or not. They decided it shouldn't. And at no time during any of the recounts was Gore ever ahead. The inclusion of disqualified ballots was Gore's last stand, and since there would have to be a lot of objectivity in determining whether the ballots were for Bush or Gore, they put a stop to it.
jovidman69 1 year ago
@jovidman69 bottom line: they did not count all the ballots - the people did not decide the election - the supreme court did

wegaify 1 year ago
@wegaify How do you figure? Every single study done on the Florida results has shown that, no matter how the recount was conducted - and even if Gore had his way and they only recounted heavily Democratic counties (something Gore's own team called "trolling for votes") - Bush won Florida. Gore was trying as hard as he could to bend Florida law to squeeze his way into the White House. The idea that Gore actually won Florida is a laugh and no one with a brain takes it seriously.

can anyone believe that this was 10 years ago!??!
standinstann 1 year ago 7
I can't believe it will be that long this Fall!! It has flown by so fast!! The reason why that election was so close was because as Al Gore said at the 2008 DNC, many believed that there wasn't much difference between Bush and Gore and it didn't really matter who became president, as the nation was enjoying peace and prosperity then, and many assumed that the nation would continue with both regardless of who won. I believe that Bush is a good man, but made some poor choices as president.
