  • LIJEPO POJAČALO SAMO KUČIŠTE I DIZAJN ?!?

  • Dulcet tones and no clipping, excellent!

  • I love the sound of this one, very nice compressed sound. Where could I get some more information on how to start buidling tube amps? Do you have the schematics or lay-out somewhere? I am currently experimenting with an old radio, but I think I will let that go and start one from scratch. Is a 5 watt easier to build than a 50 watt or are they basicly the same? Please guide me :)

  • pensei que era um satélite huahuhuahha

    zuera, é cool man!

  • can i get the schematics for this

  • very good!!! I like its clean sound! and its breakup too!!! Altough I am after high gain, I love the "fender" clean tone!!!

  • @Renegadrian Thank you. If you hook this up to my 4x12 cab it sounds great. Bass is a little muddy but still sound great.

  • Great job on the build. Nice upgrade for that Frontman. :)

  • Awsome! Make me a Amp!

  • @MrGutter420 NO money in it any more the pump out cheep tube amps so fast they are 1/4 of the price they were 5 years ago.

  • Nice video !!!

    SEE THIS:

  • @pegasomarcelo Thank you. Just buy a kit from shop.dobermanamps com or tedweber com there are so many great kits out.

  • fun video, great tone too, bravo. thx

  • NIce little amp mate, now just mod the grill cloth :)

  • do you know how you can get alot of distortion out of the amp without using more power or pre amp tubes?

im planing to build an amp from an old tube radiio but i love to play metal alot :P

  • @snuif9 Go to AX84com they check out SEL pre amp. Or check out my Hi octane vid. Its all in the preamp design. You can tweak just about any preamp and make it do what you want.

  • @DLOWSHIT

    sweet thanks =)

soon here in the netherlands it will be "koninginendag" its like a HUGE garage sale everyone sells there stuff on the street so im going to pick up some old tube radios and such and try to make a decent amp =)

  • @snuif9 uh... you could try running the preamp on lower voltages than the power tube(s) - 150v instead of 250v/300v. i've heard Van Halen used this trick on his amps to get more distortion, but he used like 5 triodes stages or something like that on those... -, try looking for a triple triode or triode-pentode tube (in the second case, using the pentode to drive the triode), or even using a distortion box like Purple Plexi or any other with a loud output to push the preamp into distortion.

  • Thank you!

  • sweat tone~

  • Thank you.

  • do you know any kits for like beginners? i don't know much about this and i'd like to get started, and i doubt a 500$ tube kit is the right place to start lol

  • Hi i think you are very smart you must have some electrical knowledge that's not for your average DIY guy, nice job i wish i could build one don't know that much about electronics though

  • You can just get a kit and your off. Then you can make a 500$ amp that you could have bought for 200$ :)

  • AWESOME!!!

  • THX

  • Clean is not my preference, But very nice job on the amplifier. I was pretty well intrested throughout the entire video.

  • THANKS

  • Sounds lovely. Top work.

  • Thank you.

  • nice!! i builat a low voltage tube amp based on the ax84 schematic. its abput 1/2 a watt but its great for recording and sounds amazing. only powered by 12.6 volts!!!!!

  • Thats cool, they are great amps you can mod the hell out of them

  • wow, great tone

  • Thank you, This little amp is one of my favs i have made. I play it all the time now.

  • Dude, it is not a good idea to measure 300 V DC with two hands next time.

  • You have to if you are going across the 2 leads.

  • one way to be extra cautious is to attach alligator clips to the test points and to the multimeter before energizing the circuit. That way you can keep your hands out of there. It really is a good idea to only use one hand only when probing around high voltages, with the other hand not grounded on anything.

another idea for safety, which you probably already know - is to drain the power filter caps through like a 100 ohm/5watt resistor to chassis ground before working inside the chassis.

  • Yep, But i was only testing vary easy to get to leads and have been doing this for 17 years. Any way, You should use alligator clips its a great idea!

  • how do you do it? aligator clip?

  • why no distortion? is this design for an acoustic guitar?

  • Well it was more my pick ups i used. I used my lespaul and got s little dirt. The pre amp i used does just about clean. most of the dist comes from the power tube. So you need to crank it.

  • sweet

  • Thank you. I think i will put a Weber speaker in and it will sound better.

  • what's the schematic for the preamp ?

  • Its on AX84 site called simple pre amp.

  • Skip to 6min for sound clips!
