  • Any song by the Klu Klux Klan is fine by me :) :)

  • Band name: FAIL

  • Great song. Unfortunately named group, though.

  • I know the brother of one the band members....you have anymore of their stuff??? Thanks so much for posting!!!! Love the song!!

  • This is really nice.

  • Klan means family or group. People need to stop fearing it. KKK is one thing but even Africans formed klans but they just had a different word for it. This is great music. And because of the name I bet they got little airtime. But Joy Division was a nazi youth program but no one cared much about that. this is a great discovery to me. I can't find new music I enjoy so Im gonna start listening to the roots of Punk and Glam rock... which is right here.

  • @lifepod2036 one song,

    doctors of madness- waiting

    best pre-punk song ever.

  • Where do you find these bands?

  • euro left banke!

  • bob dylan rules!

  • they're GREAT!!!!!

  • good band!

    saludos!

  • This band was originaly called Les Ombres. They made some fantastic garage 45's. After changing to another label (Frm Olympia to Palette) they changed their name to The Klan.

  • I just won this 45 on ebay, and i got into it cuz of this video, thank you!! It's one of my favs now!

  • Congratulations! That's a hard slab of wax to get a hold of. I'm still trying to find a copy of their full length LP "Join Us" on vinyl. Glad you enjoy them.

  • You know I actually found the LP on ebay for 20 bucks, but the guy I think got wise to how rare it was an never sent it claiming "it was lost in the mail" but its ok I got this 45, this is my fav song on that entire LP anyways.

  • Love those beautiful strings.

This reminds me of a darker 'Birds and Bees' by Warm Sounds.

    Fantastic Indeed.

  • Great song, but why are they called "The Klan"?

  • Indeed

  • Not quite sure of the origin of the name, but being from Belgium I highly doubt it has anything to do with the Ku Klux Klan, if that's what you're wondering. In many parts of Europe "klan" simply means group.

  • clan simply means family

  • Haha. That thought crossed my mind, too.

  • Good question. The band name in an American context is very unfortunate. They obviously were talented, even if this strings-heavy type of chamber pop isn't always my cup of tea.

  • @AlbertMondback Most definitely a KKK reference. </3

  • wspaniały kawałek, kocham starego rocka !

  • Thank you! :) I'll certainly give them all a listen.

  • Do you perhaps know of a Dutch psych band too from the 60's? Someone put it on for me in a record shop once but I completly forgot the name, and they sounded very good.

Thanks for this video btw! :)

  • There were quite a few Dutch psych bands in the 60's actually. I have another video up by The Nicols. They were a great Dutch psych band that had a truly amazing single titled "She Had a Name to Find Out". There's also The Bumble Bees, NV Groep 65 and St Giles System, to name a few. In fact, all these Dutch bands and more are on a great compilation called "Waterpipes & Dykes - Dutch Psychedelia 1966 - 1972". Seek it out.
