For a folding bike a brompton looks great, although I may go for a 20" wheel which Brompton has not. Folding bikes are great (for me) when traveling long distance, from city A to city B, and then you can pedal in the city very nicely. When not traveling outside of a city I go all the way with my mtb which gives me a more pleasant and effcient ride.

How the hell can you complare a brompton to a normal bike? surley the brompton man would be subject to the same "train delays" as other train passengers? and therefore for guanteed arrival times the normal bike would win?

@bazzadigz The girl is using the London Underground which is a right pain in the arse in the morning. Overland trains tend to be more reliable.
