I've never been a huge Rush fan and in fact didn't like their style of music in the '70s, although I've definitely grown to appreciate their work more as time goes on. It's absurd that they weren't in the RRHOF years ago, but it's a hall of fame, not a hall of talent.  At this point, I think they should wear the fact that they're not in the HOF as a badge of honor. I'd like to see them refuse induction if they ever get voted in. They're better than that.

Rush is good, but it's not for everyone. People are different, and some people just don't like Rush. Maybe it's too "clean", anthemic, melodic or sterile.  Maybe they want something with more of a dirty sound, gutsy, sexy and sweaty. That isn't Rush. Maybe they want something with a funky groove - repetitive but with variations. That's not Rush. Rush is prog rock. It's rock with classical flourishes. I think most people can enjoy it at some time in their life, if not at all ages.
