  • Here's what you need to do, Pipe the exhaust through a heat exchanger or several of them to bring the overall exhaust down to the same temp as intake air. Then pipe the heat to ducts, then you will have a High Efficiency Furnace.

  • Wondering what the total cost of build. Did you use pex line or metal? Great job.

  • Looks great how can I buy prints to build?

  • Same here.

  • That stainless steal sure looks nice, but lost energy..

  • rule if you cant put your hand on the stack your loosing energy

  • If the chimney cap is almost white hot, aren't you really dumping a lot of waste-heat out of the chimney?

  • Actually No, the white is ash....

  • That thing is roaring.

What is the outlet temp on the stack and how many cords of wood are you going through per heating season?

  • The roar is the fan, and for our heating season (way up in Manitoba) 6 cords will heat our house, my shop (with 12ft ceilings) and our domestic hot water, all three items, from the same 6 cords.

  • I would like to build one do you have any plans? Thanks

  • a friend's father has a gassifier -he has more free heat than he can do anything w/
