Best bet to keeping a super healthy dog is serving them NATURALLY COOKED FOOD. I have a Staffordshire terrier(started feeding him at 5 weeks and so on since mother got ill and later died) that eats ONLY what i cook at home. all veges and meat, the vitamins, but no dog food or canned dog food. I barely take him to the vet because its always the usual answer: "Perfectly health dog....". To this day he never had a single problem except being the most playful, energetic dog ever =)
This looks similar to what my Border Collie / Lab mix goes through. First episode was when he was just about eight weeks old. He's now 19 months and still has episodes once in a while. We've never done an MRI, but all other testing shows him as perfectly healthy. My vet does not think it's seizures (based on history and video of my dog during episodes.) Good luck. It's painful to see our fur babies go through this. There's a CECS yahoo group board you can join for more info & support.
He might be a tad bit over weight. You should be able to see a waist and feel ribs easily. It doesn't take much to have a padding of fat on those ribs. Ours used to be 104# and is now at 73-76 & is just right. He's a tall boy, though.
Another thing might be a back injury. The MRI you said he had, was it of the brain or the spine? Maybe the large amount of table food is just a coincidence and that he hurt himself and has these episodes of back spasms or something.
Gosh, it's hard to say as it doesn't present as a grand mal seizure or even a petit-mal seizure. At least not like the ones our golden will have. He's had both.
He's loved, that's for sure. Sorry you guys are dealing with this. I think maybe a couple of things (beautiful boy, btw!)
my golden retriever was hit by a car while we were on vacation maybe 3 or 4 years ago, from being hit in the head he gets seizures.. they went away for about a year and just now started coming back.. in the past week hes had like 2 a day.. today he had 3 =[ we took him to the vet and they gave us strong medicine for him.. & he has to get a tumor removed on tuesday.. hes not having the best month =\ hopefully everything will be okay!

You might try to put some frozen peas right at his "tail bone" or lumbar spine area. He's definately in distress.
